The main issue is that aks is not advisable to be used in urban civilian places because is designed for expendable war and as high recoil and low accuracy which is bad for civilian rescue and protection.
That why we tend to have many cases of collateral damage by NPF.

Why do you think most developed countries like US use hand gun like (glock gun) as their main gun and if the situation is dire they use high accuracy rifle like(mp5) for low collateral damage.
