Bros, I understand how it is 'whoever it may be' to compulsorily remove certain amount from you little salary. The good news is that you will see the benefits of this contibution in future (20years time). Govt and Laws will definitely change one day to our favour and we will all smile. Take it as a modern way of saving for the future rainy days.

for those GL8/3 earning 61K after contributory pension, they recieved 74K, but for those GL8/3 earning 65K, that are not into the monthly Contributory Pension, they received 79K. Pls I do not know the modalites for the calculation

Just got info that this 79k that dropped is not minimum wage but implantation of steps. I just hope it is true

my colleagues in GL8/3 earned 74K and 79 due to the fact that the former is into contributory Pension while the later is not.
Also note that some persons (our senior colleagues about to retire) had addition of about 40K to their salary. This is to confirm what you stated that the Pay also depends on the GL

information reaching me concerning your question is that The 79K is also for Level 8.3 but its for those that are not into contributory Pension.
Whereas those into the Contributory Pension and on 8.3 are getting 74K. I dont know the modalities being used in the calculating it. Thanks

Finally, FG and labour have agreed on 20% and 13.5% for level 7 to 14 and level 15 to 17 respectively. please what are we expecting as our take home pay now for someone in Level 8 step 4? Those who know the maths should help us calculate it. Thanks.

in Nigeria, its not advisable to be too optimistic in any governmetal project as there promises can Hardly be taken to the bank. There promises can easily give high B.P if not managed properly.

please be very careful in taking loan especially from banks. In most cases, paying back which runs into years, may lead to fustration = depression.
