Our performance today was very rusty. RLC, Havertz and Mount were not looking sharp at all. Alonso was just Alonslow and pretty useless upfront (Lamptey ). Kepa Arrizabalagad as usual. Zouma and Christensen were ok. Reece was average defensively (bullet of a shot though and decent deliveries). Barkley was sharp(caused 2 counters). Werner was everywhere . He should have scored a couple though( RLC and Barkley )
Lampard put out a strange formation. Wing play was pretty dead today. Our game against Liverpool should be much better.

This Mendy is just a very good shot stopper. Opponent will score a lot of goals through re bound if he doesn't learn to direct shot aways as far as possible.

He should be ok for now till we get a new keeper.

Silva will add quality to our defence. He should also be able to spot the runs of Pulisic and Werner. Mendy is not a good ball-playing keeper though

A major weakness, meanwhile Mendy outperforms the top Gks in that regard.
He's also a really good shotstopper with good positioning, diving and reflexes. He also regularly starts attacks with his throws.

His weaknesses are his penchant for spilling shots and his momentary rash decisions to rush out of his area. His footwork can be improved as well.

That's what I noticed too. I think it's because he saves with two hands . He's not a good sweeper at all. I don't think we had many 1 on 1s last season though.
