Creating chances is more like Ziyech's prerogative. That's something you can't say about our midfield hence the mention of Alcantara.

We don't have to rely solely on our wingers, we need a midfielder who has the technical ability to unlock a stubborn defence with a single pass. Our current pack lacks that creative nous.

He is better than our midfielders but I don't see him as an assist freak. He is also a bit injury prone. I need someone like Fabregas. Jorginho should have been a close replacement but he is more interested in back and side passes.

This would have been a clear run on goal. Fabinho wanted to play the offside trap but Werner was clearly onside. With his pace, Warner could have been face to face with the keeper in less than 2 seconds...

Put Jorginho in Mount's place in this exact setting, Werner should have had a goal to his name by now.

Even a simple pass to Havertz would have made a big difference.

Mhen, that first half performance ehn, I saw a lot of improvement from them. Top notch compartment, but they slept for that Henderson's pass and Firmino's cross. I honestly forgot Firmino was playing until he made that cross.

That move just showed the importance of a quality front three. Pulisic and Ziyech will hopefully play against West Brom.

Some of us can never see the positives in a game. Liverpool is a team you'd be happy to win 11 v 11. They were clear favorites for this game. This is the same defence that let in five against them last season. We managed to restrict them from creating quality chances before Christensen decided to become a rugby player. Apart from the red card I wouldn't have had any problems going into the first half break. Klopp brought in Thiago for Henderson at half time which meant he wanted to be ruthless seeing that he was a man up. When Liverpool inevitably scored, Tomori and Zouma remained rock solid, kantè was great although I think he should improve his decision making at the other end of the pitch. We still managed to get a penalty and Abraham forced a good save from Alisson so it didn't look like they completely lost hope in getting something out of the game. Out of three goals we've conceded, two of them have been utter blunders from Kepa. Lampard has improved the defence and it's showing. Did people actually expect them to beat Liverpool with ten men?

Once Liverpool started camping in our half, I knew it was just a matter of time. Yamheaded Klopp had to introduce Thiago to recycle possession . Despite the red card, it was an ok performance.

On the flip side, we've faced 15 corners and 10 billion crosses without conceding a goal from them. We've also been able to intercept cutbacks a lot. Our defending has improved massively. Barry should have a hand in this
