Its not contradicting each other bro. The Bible says "By one man sin entered the world.."Rom5:12. We are all descendants of Adam and that's how "all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" came into being. But Christ died while we were yet sinners(Rom5: and that made us righteous if we accept Him into our lives(Rom5:19b)

But the Bible also says "If ye confess your sins, He is able and just to forgive you"

And also "Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" Acts3:19

The same way sin came through Adam, Righteousness comes through Christ and the glory of God too. This is explained in Romans 5:8-21

Satan has no power because " And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth".

Getting rid of sinful thoughts is possible. How? Do this.. "Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things"Phil4:7

When you take away the sinful thoughts or cut it short when it enters your mind, that's the evitability of it.
