Legitimacy Supporting Sharia Law as a religious or legal idea is not terrorism.

This argument is misleading. A group not being globally designated as terrorists does not mean they are innocent or unarmed. Terrorist designations are political and legal decisions made independently by each country, not a global popularity contest.
Nigeria has its own laws and security realities, and IPOB was proscribed based on actions within Nigeria, not on whether foreign countries choose to act or ignore it. Civilian deaths are tragic and should always be condemned, but that does not automatically make a proscribed group innocent.
So the false claim here is assuming that “operating abroad freely” equals innocence, or that only Nigeria’s designation matters.

Being able to move abroad doesn’t mean a group is innocent. IPOB is officially designated a terrorist organization by the Nigerian government based on documented violence, killings, and intimidation in the South-East.
Comparing IPOB to Boko Haram is a distraction. Boko Haram is globally designated because of suicide bombings and mass kidnappings, but violence against civilians is wrong no matter who does it.
Also, no Canadian court has declared APC members terrorists — that claim is false. If we want justice, we must condemn the killing of both Muslims and Christians, without selective outrage.
