Hi larisoft Please I really need to get in touch with you. I sent you a message but you haven't replied. Could you send me a WhatsApp message on 08165213439? |
sulaimon99:Scam. Go away please. |
dharmora:My brother, you can type anything you want in "Reference". I've done two transfers. First time I used my full name as reference, second time I used my Nairaland username. Both transfers were successful. Just put anything you want in Reference. |
EngTino:Bro, they PROMISED! You don't know that that 2,500 will make a difference in someone's life. And what about those who wrote the exam but didn't make it? Some had to borrow money for transport. By the way, I spent 5k on transport. |
ayodijex:Reference is anything. You can write your name. |
Those guys are wicked o...100 naira per transaction, yet they couldn't pay the transport money they PROMISED!! The worst part is they didn't inform me of any service charge. It was when I checked my account balance I saw 169900. |
Progworld1:NUBAN is just your bank account number. |
ayodijex:Yes, but they charged me 100 naira o. |
Praise God!!
Now I can stop following this thread.
But why didn't they pay the transport naa? |
capofwesh:There's no punishment. The ceremony is NOT COMPULSORY. Yes, there was an awardee at Owerri who didn't show up. |
Scholarship Seminar for UNN students. It's really good stuff. Don't miss it! https://www.nairaland.com/2789717/scholarship-seminar-all-unn-students |
Recently, I was discussing with a guy on WhatsApp. He was a fellow candidate at the just-concluded MTN Foundation Scholarship exam. He asked me how many scholarships I was on, and he was surprised when I told him. He then proceeded to tell me that, though he was in 200L, this was his first time applying for a scholarship. His exact words: "When I was in 100L, My thought was most scholarship is for 200 and above. I don't have adequate info about it." And I realized that that's the problem. Ignorance. So many students don't know of the multiple scholarship opportunities available to them. Some even think it's only for Engineering and Sciences. That's not true. With this in mind, we've decided to answer all students' questions on scholarships and provide them with the information they need on how to get scholarships, and how took avoid scholarships scams as well. It's the first ever SCHOLARSHIP SEMINAR: in the University of Nigeria. I'll be there with some other guys, and we'll talk about how we obtained our many scholarships and lots more. Date: Thursday, 10th December, 2015 Time: 9-11.30 am (we don't do African time) Venue: Old Engineering Annex Fee: 500 naira only You'll be able to ask all your questions and get verified answers. We'll also give out FREE scholarship guides to all attendees!! It's open to all departments and levels, but most especially 100 and 200 levels. This program is powered by The Diakon Institute. For any questions, contact: 08165213439, 09034017159. I'll love to see you there! (And if you think 500 naira is too much, just remember you're investing 500 naira to get 100-200 THOUSAND naira. How's that for a wise investment?) |
MTN have sent another SMS, this time with more info. In it, we were also asked to check our mail, but no email has come in yet. |
obajiluke:I have that of UNN. WhatsApp: 08165213439 |
tosenj:I can't really do that now. Contact me on WhatsApp and I'll snap yours and send. You may upload that here if you can. |
dllenzee:Yes, the SMS just said the award ceremony is at FUTO on December 11. |
Hello all. I'm very busy now, but I'd love to help out. I have the paper. If you want to check your name, message me on WhatsApp. 08165213439 I may not be able to help you after 10pm each day. |
Check this out... http://.com/latest-update-list-of-winners-of-mtn-foundation-scholarship-award-phase-6/ Just wanted to raise your BP small. ![]() |
holyboss:How come no one has given a sensible answer to number 2? Your code in number two adds your two variables. It promotes the int to a float (in order to enable the addition) and this results in an answer of type float. Thus, the sizeof operator gives you the size of a float, which on most architectures, is 4. |
Salishabib:Congrats! What centre? |
Salishabib:What centre? |
80 percent. Thank God. |
Why has no one said anything about MTN's latest mail?
My Username was just written [User Login].
Anyone sorry the same issue? |
MTN candidates check your mail.
MTN has sent another urgent message.

As Question 3 in a job interview, a candidate was asked, "In a series of question designed to quickly evaluate and eliminate candidates based on their response to free-form questions, what would be an ideal third question for those that have done well in the initial and second question, considering that difficulty of posed problem must be logarithmically harder than the prior questions?" Here was the winning candidate's answer: "Considering that questions 1 and 2 which, being free-form, appealed to examiner’s interests/amusements (which the candidates, as established prior, managed to pass), an ideal third question to break a sweat should test the candidate’s ability to suggest a question that: a. Suits the examiner’s interests/ amusements. b. Poses a paradoxical loop for all concerned (effectively satisfying the need for ‘logarithmic difficulty.’) I would suggest the question below: “In a series of question designed to quickly evaluate and eliminate candidates based on their response to free-form questions, what would be an ideal third question for those that have done well in the initial and second question, considering that difficulty of posed problem must be logarithmically harder than the prior questions?”" See more at: https://medium.com/mark-essien/hotels-ng-interview-questions-to-screen-for-a-genius-49bb6cb9946a |
Fulaman198:It is. Unfortunately, many newbies/amateurs (myself included) want to just jump right into writing that code. It's hard being patient, but I'll begin enforcing it personally. Thanks. |
Fulaman198 thanks. Anything helpful to add? |
I. Attitudes 1. Never think you’ve written the best possible code, or even your best possible, to solve that problem. There’s always a better way. After all, it’s possible that assignment was just plain easy. 2. Develop a (good) work ethic. Learn to discipline yourself as a programmer. Make rules and keep at it. Set up schedules, set goals, make plans. 3. Deal with developaralysis. Remain focused on where you’re going and refuse to budge. 4. Determine to improve (every week, at the least). Make a conscious assessment of your skills and analyse what new knowledge you’ve gained over the past week. 5. Never feel superior. You know that feeling when you’re telling complete newbies about manipulating memory via bits and pointers, and they’re just looking at you with awe on their faces, saying things like “man, this guy is bad…”. Stop. Take a deep breath and deflate that big head. It’s not gonna help you get better at all, because you’ll keep thinking you’re so far ahead, when you actually haven’t gone anywhere. 6. Savour your work. I know I just finished saying what seems like the opposite, but I mean it. Learn yo savour your work. When you solve a tough problem, be glad. Sing and dance… And get back to work. But don’t brag. II. Actions & Practices 1. Code from a variety of viewpoints. By this I mean that when solving a problem, you work out the best solutions in terms of (for instance) i) speed ii) memory management iii) handling of unexpected input iv) algorithmic efficiency etc. See more at:https://shalvahadebayo./2015/11/04/how-to-become-a-better-programmer/ Senior programmers in the house (and newbies too), please make your contributions. |
Question: if we've applied for a scholarship on Scholastica before (eg Agbami) and uploaded the profile verification stuff signed by our HOD, do we still need to do that again? |
abrahambest:Thankyou! |
Sir abrahambest please send me the GMAT and Dragnet past questions. diakon.ng@gmail.com Thanks |
