Since you do not have any money at this time to pay for a therapist, I would recommend you consider giving yourself what you need. Begin now by becoming more self-aware— monitor your thoughts and actions. Get a journal and begin recording your thoughts and emotions throughout your day to understand what causes you to believe that money is being wasted the way you do. Also, document all the possible reasons why alcohol and sex seem to be your place of deluded safety whenever money falls into your hands. adopting those simple skills again, where you are. Choose to become more intentional about everything you think and do. And before long, you will start to see areas where you can make small, consistent changes that will ultimately lead you towards correctly addressing a good part of your problem on your own. If you are fortunate, by then you would be better able to handle your money and get yourself professional therapy with what you have.

Go to General Hospital Ikorodu and ask them to refer you to the department of Psychology and Psychiatry if they have one or if not, go straight to General Hospital Lagos Island (they have a department there).

The Dr will refer you to a rehab center and it will be affordable, plus you'll start mental health treatment.

Get your life back together, man!

Print a picture of your wife and kids, look at it every hour and tell yourself "I'm doing this for them".

Tell God to stand by you during this journey. Join NSPDD 7am fire prayers (because you need motivation to push you to pray, you're not strong enough to do it by yourself). Join it until you can stand on your own two feet and pray for yourself (don't let anyone here discourage you, Addiction is hard to break and requires willpower and that man's shouting is mental motivation and ginger).

Please can someone help me with any work I can do to feed my family. I lost everything to a terrible lifestyle. I don't want this year to be another wasted year for me. I'm willing to do any meaningful work. I need a job that comes with accommodation I'm willing to relocate to anywhere within Nigeria.

I have HND in electrical Electronics Engineering. I can install CCTV, all other ELV Installations and I have very good knowledge of electrical Wiring. I can also do computer Networking.

I'm feel I'm cursed because why will I continue to kill and harm myself and my family.

I'm totally ashamed of myself for keep failing and disappointing my self and my family. I have a big problem with alcohol. I don't have the urge drink every day but I always find myself drink non stop whenever I money comes my way. I won't stop drinking and buying for people until all the money is gone. I don't even know my health status because I find myself indulging in in safe sex. Once the money finishes I will start regretting. I need therapy but where can I get free therapy because I don't have money to pay for any.

Here's the thing. Not everyone with a problem is an addict. Addiction has to be diagnosed. Have you been professionally diagnosed as an addict? Or do you simply assume that because you have a problem, you must be an addict?

I'm not into drugs or those stuffs, just that there's this particular mistake I keep repeating that's really tying me down.

That's why I'm of the opinion getting psychological assistance might be helpful.

1. I don't know whether they are happy or not. What I know is the remedy for foolishness is wisdom. There are several ways to acquire wisdom. Self-discipline and self-control, for instance, is a good way to keep oneself from repeating past mistakes.

2. The solution has been available to you from childhood. It is the same way a child develops self-discipline and self-control skills that a grown-up learns the same. The issue becomes whether a person wishes to develop these skills or not.

I understand, my problem is I lack self control, I know, I will not stop until I learn how to be disciplined.

Just that rehab isn't common here in Nigeria and the few available are expensive I would have loved to for rehab.

So can be so addicted to something that you need an external help.

That's the point I have gotten to.

3. Last I checked, Psychiatry isn't about the treatment of foolishness/lack of wisdom, and the mentally ill are a different crowd from the mentally foolish.

So where can a mentally foolish man gets help?

So you think it's wrong to question God or you haven't read where God said someone will perish and the same God repented and changed his mind.
