Brother in love , death to the Nigerian army

I am not a military expert.... , but I am rich in common sense and in critical reasoning. And there is something about the current Army leadership that unsettles me.

In the North East, Operation Hadin Kai commander, Maj. Gen. A. E. Abubakar has been in charge since 2025. ... And during this short time, two Brigadiers General have died. ... Generals Uba and Braimah, two generals under him are dead within a short time. Can someone explain to me Why Gen A.E Abubakar has not been removed.

When a General dies,, it points to a failure of his superior. It is either a case of strategic failure, or a case of intelligence failure, or an inside job. These are the only 3 possibilities when a general is bloodied. In this case, I suspect the first two - strategic incompetence or intelligence failure on the part of Gen. A.E Abubakar. It is unprecedented in the Nigerian Army that a commander loses 2 generals within a year.

The question that boggles my mind is: Why has the COAS not removed him yet? Why? Is it because of personal friendship? Or because they are both from Kogi State? Or, what exactly. Is the COAS waiting for the 3rd general to die ?

Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu might be a good officer, but he doesn't impress me so much. ... Would Gen. Buratai or Ihejirika have kept this commander in office? Certainly NO. Big NO.

Gen. Buratai removes commanders for much smaller infractions,, talk more of losing 2 generals under you.

Under Gen ihejirika, an attack on a military base that killed an Air force general was investigated. It emerged that the GOC had advance intelligence of the attack and failed to act. Gen. Ihejirika sanctioned the GOC , which eventually led to friction btw the 2 Generals and the retirement of the GOC. That GOC was Gen. Mohammed Isah. He was retired shortly after. That was quality army leadership under Gen. Buratai and Ihejirika.

I have seen reports that the Army had intelligence of the attack. There was 3days advance Intelligence of the attack that killed Gen. Braimah. If the commander had intelligence of the impending attack, then what went wrong? Why isn't the army investigating?

My people, I am worried about leadership in the army. How can you explain the competence of commander that loses 2 generals in six months. This same Gen. A. E. Abubakar was a big failure when he was GOC of 3rd Division in Jos. Just do some research and you would see for yourself. There were lots of failures, and infact, soldiers and communities called him out repeatedly. Since he is now in Borno State,, we are seeing the resurgence of a degraded Boko Haram, plus the alarming death of Generals at a rate that shakes even dumb people. A third General would soon die.

Yet, he is still in command. He cozied up to his brother the COAS. Let. Gen. Waidi Shaibu destroy the Army because of brotherly friendship. We are watching.

The US govt was elected to solve America's problems, not other countries problems. Every nation has problems, and each govt should focus on solving its own internal problems. Every day, thousands of people are shot dead in America. Millions are poor and homeless. Mass shooting, drug and crime, racism, black genocide, are rampant in America. Donald Trump was elected to solve those problems. Not to go around the world causing trouble.

I want to use this opportunity to warn the Nigerian govt. to beware of America. Nigerians including Christians and Muslims must be very careful with America. Why? Because America has done more harm to the world than good. No other nation violates international law, and damages the rules-based order like the US.

We must limit our exposure and our association with that country. Whilst we must not be enemies with them, we must not also be allies with them.

We can not be allies with a nation whose political class are power drunk and war intoxicated. We can't be allies with a nation that violates international law; that kidnaps and assassinates heads of state of sovereign nations; that provokes and fights baseless wars; and that aided genocide in Gaza. We are Africa's GIANT, and we have always stood for the best interest of Africa and the world. All our power, wealth, strength and might, we have used in righteous ways to help and uplift our fellow Africans and the world. We share nothing with the America govt who uses their position for evil. We warn the Nigerian govt, to maintain limited and controlled relations with the US.

We do not want America getting involved in our internal affairs. Our problems are ours to solve. We want the Americans and their power drunk leaders to stay away from Nigeria. Should we need external help, we have friendly and trusted nations we can ask for help.

Israel, US and Iran are currently at war,, but their armies have not fired a shot. What does this tell you? It tells you that WAR has changed. WAR has changed.

Modern warfare is now fought from the air, and on sea, from far away distances.

With cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, suicide drones, etc,, the Army now takes back seat in war. The Army is now at back seat. Hence, the need for Nigeria's Armed forces to re-assess and recalibrate for modern warfare.

In modern warfare, the Air Force and Navy must take precedence. And develop their capabilities to full strength. The era of army in precedence is gone. Nigeria's defence doctrine is heavily focused on a powerful army. That is why soldiers are still dying in the North. The whole terrorist can be destroyed from the air, without any troops on ground.

Nigeria must change its emphasis on powerful army. The Army is back seat in modern warfare. The focus should change to a powerful Navy and Air Force. A well equipped NAF would have ended terrorism years ago. But they didn't have sufficient air platforms from the start. Their aircrafts have increased thanks to terrorism, but at the cost of an early victory.

The Air Force should be encouraged to develop Full fighting strength with several squadrons of jets, more Tucanos, more M375, more gunships, etc. Plus AWACS and a training tanker. The NAF shod have won this terrorism war ages ago. The Navy must cede its patrol duties to the coast guard, and focus on its war fighting capabilities. Navy shouldn't be doing coast guard duties. Navy should be developed for all aspects of modern Warfare, not patrol duties.

War has changed. The powerful army might be useless o,, ask Iran. Nigeria should develop its Navy and Air Force to full fighting strength. Nigeria must develop and retain the capability to strike any nation no matter how far away. The Navy should aim for 3 ballistic missile submarines, as Deterrence, to ensure that we have the reach to fight back any adversary, plus gunships for rapid long range defence. Nigeria has enemies oo, you just don't know yet.
