Akpabio is a clown. |
More than 8 years developing web and desktop applications with c, c++, .NET/C#, SQL, HTML/HTML5, CSS/3. Currently learning Java for mobile apps (Android) development. It's been a fun and rewarding experience. Wouldn't trade my development career for anything outside this field. |
escobar07: u guys r superhuman beings. Learning 4 languages at once when u are still a novice. Since u r new to programming and have just a few months under ur belt, y not concentrate on one 4 nw.My thoughts exactly. How does one learn python, mysql, html, java,c/c++, php, javascript vb and ruby all in 12 months. That's not programming - that's copying and pasting. My advice - Take it one language at a time. Once you have a good grasp of one language and a good general idea of programming, learning a new language may not be as difficult. |
judy56: When starting programming learning, you may start from simple programming languages, such as C#, C++ or VB. Then, you can learn a more complicated one, such as Java.LOL! What makes you think Java is more complicated than C++, VB or C#. I would place Java, C# and VB on the same level in terms of complexity. From my experience, C++ is a bit more complicated. |
Javanian: C#You can also get loads useful resources for learning c# and other .NET offerings on 1. ASP.NET, 2. http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/ 3. Microsoftvirtualacademy.com 4. http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/ Happy programming! |
Personally, I would not be programming today if I did not have a passion for it. I became interested in programming long before it became a commercially viable profession in Nigeria. It is passion that has driven me to improve myself in the field. It is passion that drives me to deliver even more than the client expects on every project. Passion is required for you to be SUCCESSFUL, HAPPY and FULFILLED in whatever you do. The guy working in the oil industry may be making a lot of money but may be miserable each time he goes out to work. Here's a career advise that drove me into programming - "Find what you enjoy doing the most, then find someone to pay you for doing it." |
