I have total 1 year experience of ASP.NET programming and 1 year experience in PHP which is really interesting to learn new things about technology. I love both programming languages because there are lots of interesting features and tools to develop valuable web applications in both languages. |

my advice is decide which area of programming u want to specialise in and learn all the technology needed in that area. There is WEB DEVELOPMENT, MOBILE DEVELOPMENT, DESKTOP PROGRAMMING, EMBEDDED SYSTEMS and many others. Learn a language that is relevant to the area u want to specialize in until u master them before moving to other areas. Dont try to be a jack of all trade and master of none. For me just perfecting my web development series after 3 years and currently enjoying c for the microcontroller world |

escobar07: u guys r superhuman beings. Learning 4 languages at once when u are still a novice. Since u r new to programming and have just a few months under ur belt, y not concentrate on one 4 nw.My thoughts exactly. How does one learn python, mysql, html, java,c/c++, php, javascript vb and ruby all in 12 months. That's not programming - that's copying and pasting. My advice - Take it one language at a time. Once you have a good grasp of one language and a good general idea of programming, learning a new language may not be as difficult. |

More than 8 years developing web and desktop applications with c, c++, .NET/C#, SQL, HTML/HTML5, CSS/3. Currently learning Java for mobile apps (Android) development. It's been a fun and rewarding experience. Wouldn't trade my development career for anything outside this field. |
