it depends!! mine took just but 2 days (48 hours). your school and course of choice has a part to play...

Thats fine. Some people have been denied 3-4times on tourist visa but still got their student visa. Its all about packaging.
Write a good statement of purpose, ask your sponsor to write you a letter stating why he wants you to study a masters program. Do not include bank statement unless they request for it. Front load your medicals.
Make sure your masters program is related to your first degree.
Ask your present employer to write a letter saying your position is still intact when you return from your study, if possible ask for a new work offer letter with a higher position when you complete your study.
Include 1 or 2 recommendation letter (s).
Do not include your personal statement but rather 2- 3 of your pay slips plus first offer letter from the company.
Include every other documents you have mentioned above.

I am novice on this, I think gurus like West Africa can give you more genuine info on this, but I'm sure they would like to know why diploma when you already had bsc degree. And this is where my confusion is now because I didn't indicate that I already have bsc degree before because it will limit my chances, but now I don't know how they will see it now I'm going for Msc,which probably requires bsc

Do you think your circumstance has changed? If yes then reapply for your visa.
You may want to share with us the documents you submitted in your first application and we can advice you further.

I actually applied for diploma program and my age contributed to the reason my visa was refused, the docs I submitted were, bnk statement, coe,pte result,police character cert, personal statement, yellow card.now I want to apply for masters degree program.

please I need an assistance from any good fellow!! I logged in my student visa sub-500 on 30th November 2016, medicals on 28th November 2016, teleperformance 1st Dec. 2016, up till now I am yet to get an update. my course has since commenced on the 27th feb. 2017.I feeling so bad now, my agent PFL don't seem to have any solution to my predicament.

please I need an advice

what documents did you submit to the embassy, also check whether the required any further documents from yiu

Thank God I received my Visa Grant today the 16th of February. application submitted on the 2nd of February, medicals on the 1st of February and biometrics on the 3rd. I will be traveling to Melbourne next week Thursday or Friday and I haven't booked my ticket. Please house, what's the cheapest flight from Lagos to Melbourne?

After an argonising few weeks of waiting I finally got the response I expected.

Anyone have an idea how Brisbane is in terms of jobs etc.
