BusinessEmpowering Africa’s Media Professionals: The Vision Behind Lux Digital Academy by Dienamics(op): 5:57pm On Apr 03, 2025
By Ajayi Folahanmi

For years, I watched media professionals struggle to keep up with the industry’s rapid digital transformation. Traditional journalism and media skills, once enough to sustain a thriving career, were no longer sufficient. The world had shifted. Digital platforms, audience engagement strategies, data analytics and monetisation models had become essential. Yet, structured training in these areas was scarce, leaving many journalists, content creators and media professionals without the tools they needed to succeed.

That gap inspired me to create Lux Digital Academy—a platform designed to equip media professionals with the digital skills necessary to thrive in today’s ever-evolving landscape.

A Practical Approach to Media Training

At Lux Digital Academy, I wanted to ensure that learning went beyond theory. Our training is hands-on, industry-focused and tailored to the realities of modern media. Whether you are a journalist, broadcaster, marketer or content creator, we provide the expertise and strategies needed to adapt, grow and monetise your skills in the digital space.

Core Programmes and Offerings

I designed Lux Digital Academy’s programmes to address the most pressing challenges media professionals face today:

Digital Mentorship Programme – Helping professionals build their personal brands, position themselves strategically and master digital platforms.

Media Buying – Teaching brands and individuals how to plan, purchase and optimise media campaigns for maximum impact.

Marketing Analytics – Providing insights on how to measure performance, understand audience behaviour and make data-driven decisions.

Career Development and Monetisation – Guiding professionals towards high-paying roles, freelancing opportunities and entrepreneurial success.

This is just the beginning. As the industry evolves, we continue to develop new programmes to meet emerging needs.

A Vision for Africa’s Media Future

Lux Digital Academy is not just a training institution; it is a movement. My vision is to empower media professionals across Africa with the skills, tools and networks to compete on a global scale. Too many talented individuals are held back by a lack of access to relevant training, and I am committed to changing that.

Through Lux Digital Academy, I want to reshape the narrative—ensuring that African media professionals are not just keeping up with industry trends but are leading the way in innovation, digital strategy and content monetisation.

Leading the Digital Media Revolution

The media industry will continue to evolve, and those who fail to adapt will be left behind. That is why I founded Lux Digital Academy—to give media professionals the knowledge, confidence and opportunities they need to stay ahead, build sustainable careers and transform the media landscape.

The future of media is digital. Lux Digital Academy is here to lead the way.

Politics"Lere Is A Beggar, I'll Sue Him For Defamation," Isaac Fayose Threatens Lawsuit by Dienamics(op): 8:47pm On Mar 29, 2025
By Anuoluwapo Lebi

Brother of a former Governor of Ekiti state, Prince Isaac Fayose has threatened to sue a former media aide to his brother, Ayò Fayose, Olalere Olayinka who is now a Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike for defamation.

Isaac who described Olayinka as a beggar, noted that he bankrolled him for a long time after his brother, Ayo Fayose abandoned him. He said "I fed him for a long time. He is my boy. He should print out his statement of account."

The ongoing fissure between the duo stems from Isaac Fayose's video on his Facebook page on Saturday to demand the whereabouts of the FCT Minister.

Reacting to Isaac's video, Olayinka described Fayose as a weed smoker and a drug abuser, who should take the matter of his own health seriously instead of minding the business of Wike’s health.

He also threw a jibe at Isaac Fayose, warning him to be wary of the nation’s anti-narcotics agency, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Olayinka wrote: “Before I leave here for other important engagements, let me advise Prince Isaac Fayose to take the issues of his health, especially his internal organs very seriously.

“When you smoke WEED (Igbo) and sniff certain things, you need regular medical checkup rather than masturbating about Wike, who is in his house after doing his jobs till late yesterday.

“And be mindful of NDLEA abeg."

In a twist of event, speaking with Peak Newspaper Nigeria, Isaac described Olalere as a "cheap beggar" who depended on him for financial assistance after the older Fayose abandoned him.

Addressing Lere's allegation of him being a drug abuser, Isaac has hinted at pressing legal charges on the FCT Minister's media aide for defaming his character.

According to him, "that allegation is highly injurious to my hard-earned character, I will not let that slide. He must come to the court to explain where I smoked, took substances or abused drugs like cocaine."

Buttressing on his video that triggered arguments, Isaac Fayose noted that he only asked about the whereabouts of Lere's principal, Wike who is a public officer. He noted "Wike is supposed to be in Bayelsa today, I asked why he wasn't there. Has he been flown out of the country? Is he out of the country or is he in Abuja? He is our minister and I have every right to demand his whereabouts."

In a fresh twist of events, the family of the abducted President of Afenifere National Youths Council, Prince Eniola Joseph has expressed frustration about the extravagant demands of abductors to release Ojajuni, who has been in his abductors' den for over a week.

Ojajuni's abductors who had earlier pegged N100Million as ransom to release him, have recently added two tricycles to their demands.

Speaking with newsmen, the brother of captured President of the Afenifere National Youths Council, Victor Ojajuni expressed frustration over the exorbitant demands made by abductors, for his brother's release.

He noted that, "We have been unable to raise ₦100 million. Now, these individuals are requesting two additional keke napep. It is well.”

Recall that, Ojajuni, a former presidential candidate was on February 20, shot and abducted in Abuja.
