First off , the name is spelt Quamdeen and it's completely different from the rubbish they keep spelling up here .
Secondly, the name means "pillar of the faith" most knowledgeable people will say "pillar of the religion (Islam)" .
How do you verify , ask someone who knows nairaland users have very little to offer

*Music industry for up and coming artistes
The music industry we have today continues to explode everyday, making it a bit difficult for up and coming artists to walk their way into the spotlight. In one year, some artistes have made it into the spotlight with their music. While in the same one year, some really popular artistes have now been relegated to the background. The question on most people's minds is, "why is it that only few new artistes make it to the main stage of Fame in the music industry? "
Here are a few tips to help you
Know your genre:
Artistes like Barry Jhay, Omah Lay and Bella Shmurda have genres of music peculiar to them. You can find another person trying to copy their style of music, but you can never see a person who copies another's style, continue to make it. The industry, these days is meant for those who sing uniquely. You have to know your own style of music. Oga boss, today you'll sing reggae, tomorrow hip-hop, the next, you'll sing blues, where is your base?. For a start, you can't say "I'm good in all of them". What is that style of music that people enjoy you sing? Develop yourself on that area.
Quality:
As an upcoming artist, go for quality first. Quality determines if you go far in the industry. Work on your rhythms and rhymes. You can't just blow without quality in your music. Big artistes worked their ways into the industry with the quality of their music.
Get a slogan:
Adekunle Gold has "AG baby is your baby", Davido has "O-B-O", Mayorkun has "of LAY -LAY". What yours? What slogan or line will people here and know it's your music? Find it.
Go for free shows:
Relax!!!! You never blow yet o. All these big artistes started somewhere. For someone that's new in the industry, you can jump your way into fame o, propel have to know your music first. To get fame, you need publicity. For publicity, you need people. So the easiest and fastest way to get people to know you is if you go for free shows. Don't feel you're too big to go for free shows. It's a way to build your fan base. Also, in this competitive age, it a way for you to build your brand of music without paying.
Record and record:
As an upcoming artist, write lyrics, sing and record like your life depends on it, because really, your life depends on it. You could get songwriters to get you good lyrics that go with your style of music, quality one.
Sacrifice:
Iyanya had to sell his car to get money to shoot video for Kukere, Olamide slept in studio, Timaya was a plantain seller. I'm not saying you have to go through all this things to make it, but you have to sacrifice for your music. You could perform in your locality, promote on blogs, submit to DJs for mixes. The slogan for the music industry of today is "go hard or go home". Make sure people don't only know you when you send your song to them or tell them your name, let your music do the work for you.
Build a social media presence:
You can grow yourself online. Engage your fans, drop your music videos and audios online. That way, you're building yourself.
Remember, you have to work your way in to the spotlight, you can just jump into it. It's not magic.[b]*Music industry for up and coming artistes
