This is how matured people handle issues. You make your representation to the appropriate authority and allow them handle it. Not coming to patrol Lagos aimlessly.

God bless PMB. Things swept under the carpet are being exposed. When light comes, everything hidden in the darkness shall be made plain.
PoliticsRe: 'Why Always Remi Tinubu?' - Dino Melaye Takes Another Swipe At Tinubu's Wife by dionma: 8:39am On Jul 18, 2016
This dino is going nuts. You threatened a woman. said insulting things to a married woman. Came to Lagos and was fooling around yet nobody responded to your childish tantrums yet you would not allow the issue to rest. An adult in a child's body.

The silence of the Tinubu's is eerie. It can only mean something is cooking.
PoliticsRe: Photos Of Anti-Fayose Protest In Ekiti State by dionma: 4:55pm On Jul 07, 2016
it is strange that none of the PDP governors have recently come to fayose defence. He seems to be a loner.

fayose is an example of how not to be a governor. Discretion is the better part of valour, that is if fayose understand what applying discretion means.

Why is there no vet doctor among the match officials. It seems to me that the health of the ram should be of great concern to the association.

CareerRe: Enslaved To An Indian Company By "Service Bond" by dionma: 6:43pm On Jul 11, 2013
As a lawyer, I can tell you that walking away from the job is not a crime. At best, the company can only sustain a civil claim against you. At most, you will be liable in damages. the quantum of damages to be decided by the court and not the company.

The terms of the contract has to be carefully reviewed, there are certain terms in a contarct called fundamental terms. If they have breached such a term, then you can repudiate the contract (bring the contract to an end). But first, one need to know the terms of the contract and not speculate on what may be contained in the contract. I suspect that the letter of offer of employment in their posession was signed by you, otherwise you would not have gotten the job in the first instance. PoliticsChinua Achebe: An Iroko Has Fallen By Thompson Ighalo by dionma(op): 3:59pm On Mar 25, 2013
Please read this article by my myself

When a great person dies, the world trembles-so it was on 21 March, 2013 when it was announced to the world that Professor Chinua Achebe has passed into the great beyond. In its coverage of the demise of Achebe, Aljazera news channel referred to Achebe as the father of African literature.

Achebe was way ahead of his contemporaries in respect of his literary works. He produced literary works that were ageless and timeless.

For me, the flagship of his work was “Things Fall Apart”, it was a book that captured the African struggle-the struggle of the African for identity in a rapidly changing world. It was a work that sought to answer the question of whether the African can hold on to his culture and traditions while embracing western civilization. Each of the characters faced different challenges with the advent of the Christian missionaries. It indeed makes for an interesting and thrilling masterpiece. Despite all the changes around him, Okonkwo strives to define his success as a man with the African concept of wealth-that a man can be counted truly wealthy when he is able to farm his land and provide for his household whereas the white man came with a new God and a new concept- that a man without western education cannot be counted relevant in the society.

But it was not just Achebe many works that stood him out as a great man, He had great love for this country irrespective of what some of us may think, Achebe was principled and stood for what that he believed him despite the opportunity to drink from the honey comb of the nation. He believed that it was wrong to receive benefits from the system which in his opinion has failed to provide the basic necessities and improve the welfare of its citizens. Twice, he refused national honors for what he clearly perceived as a moral dilemma for him; the dilemma of benefitting from a system which to him had failed to address the many challenges facing its people. Whether we accept Achebe argument or not, something stands out, he stood for what he believed him till death came calling for him. He was a man of conviction and principle. Indeed, we need more people like him who are principled and will not sell their patrimony for position.

It has been said in some quarters that it was unfortunate that Achebe was not awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. For me, it does not detract from the greatness of the man. His works are permanent legacy of his literary skills and craftsmanship. Generations unborn would read his works and attest to his greatness. Anyway, do we need a foreign award to be able to appreciate one of our own-certainly not!!!

Let me finish by making some comments on Achebe last published works “There was a Country”. It is said that a writer’s work is a reflection of how he views the world. Literature is meant to entertain, encourage and then help cause change in the society. As his last published work, it shows that the state of the Union was something he must have reflected on a lot. While “There was a Country” has drawn some flak from many quarters, we must not lose track of the kennel of the work. It was an attempt to identify where the Nigerian experiment started to go wrong. For Achebe, the civil war and the role of the many actors contributed to the debacle that we face today. By using the past tense in giving a title to his last published work, the “was” in “There was a Country” carries with a lot of significance, Achebe may have come to the point where he reasoned that the Union is not worth saving.

For me, while the Union may be lopsided and amoeboid in structure, it is still worth saving, worth fighting for. For as long as there is a Nigeria, it is possible to save it. We owe it to those who have gone before us and the generations yet unborn to fight for whatever is left of the Union irrespective of its state. We have to fight for it and not give up until we get to the point when we can boldly say “There is a Country”, only then can will make sure that the labors of our heroes past is not in vain-that Achebe’s principles and love for this country really counts.

Rest well Professor Achebe.
