if you're still in school all you need to do is to calculate what is needed to get you to 2:1 and have a plan(i can always help you with that), however, if you have graduated with the 2:2 already then it's not a crime, I had a 3rd class in my 1st degree and I'm working and I have worked for different firms(though i'm presently running another degree with CGPA of 91.5%)... so just learn the tricks and have the zeal to succeed you will be fine...

coolestchris, abeg no mind am jare, don't allow any1 to put this mentality in you, I also have a third class and I'm working and topping my game at work if my bosses are to recommend 3 ppl to any1 based on performance from my department I will be among... it's clear getting first job is not easy for all not only third class even 2:1,2:2 and first class graduate are having the same issue...

That you have 3rd class shouldn't make you handicap you only need to be creative and up your game...

I really appreciate all your comments, they are source of motivation and encouragement. well, I concluded my PGD in public Admin last year October, working on my project 'Evaluation of Financial Abuse in the Public Sector. A case study of Federal Inland Revenue Service Abuja'. I believe before the end of this year I will enroll for my masters by the grace of God. Am in my 3rd year in school Just found out am having an extra year. I fell like my world has crumbled like all my dreams in school gone . People keep telling me I can still make it to 2.1 if really work hard and believe. In addition to that i keep hearing stories about life outside school. Can't really say or believe cause haven't had that much experience outside school. The truth is am having this low self esteem cause, my gp is not encouraging.. The main issue here is I don't know how to tell my parent.......

Well I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but all I need is an advice on what to tell this lady friend of mine, and I kinda like her.
Yesterday she just inform me that she is about to graduate from the university with a third class degree after spending 6yrs in the university. though according to her, the major reason for the low grade was lack of money. She is so demoralized at the moment and I have been so disturbed cos I have been thinking of spending the rest of my life with her.

so far there is life(breath in her), there is hope... I also had a third class and am doing fine, it's not a death sentence, however, a good grade is much better, i had couple of rejects to deal with but I never lost hope... I had to go thru many challenges (spending 7 years in school, delayed Nysc etc)... presently, i work and i school, at work no 1 can tell i had a third class because of my performance and at school the same applies.

Class of degree wahala, i had a 3rd class and i have worked with 2 multinationals, however, I'm taking another BSC presently and working so hard for history not to repeat itself...

is there any hope for those of us "unfortunate" to have finished with 3rd class? its not fair that we are judged for the rest of our career lives cuz of this,

how is it run? weekend program, classes are Friday, Saturday & Sunday not a special syllabus
how easy is it to get in for a totally different field from that of undergraduate? i don't know their selection process

is kwasu a stressful school? not stressful but it is like a normal school though no queueing for bus and all those shits however to get a good grade you will have to READ very well...
