I used the card to purchase via Google play payment. The first one went successfully, while the second didn't go through. So after few minutes later, saw a reverser of that same amount, and immediately the money left my account again.

On the 2nd of November 2024, i made a transaction using my moniepoint ATM card online, and it went successfully. I tried making the same transaction on that same day, then i was debited, but didn't receive what i purchased. Later that same day, the money was reserved, immediately the money left my account again. So i waited till the following day to see if the money will come back to my account, but nothing happened, then i raised a dispute using the Moniepoint app. After waited for 7 working days, i called their customer care line, and one AMARA picked the call, and i asked her how long does it take for a failed transaction to come back to the account, then she answered and said 7 working days. Till this moment, i have not seen any money back to my Moniepoint account. I have called and called, they keep giving me fake promises till date.

I messaged them on X, but they keep telling me they are still investigating. I had similar issue with OPAY, and it was not even up to 7 days, i got my money back from them without any stress.

A friend told me that Moniepoint ate his 10k since July, that he called and called but no avail.

Nigerians, please beware of MONIEPOINT. When you visit their X handle, people are just complaining about them.

Mr. Gabriel Chukwumee whose lives close to Afu Junction of Ohaji Egbema LGA in Imo State has been declared wanted by the state CIID in Imo state after he and his gangs invaded one of the largest supermarkets in Imo state. Mr. Gabriel Chukwumee is a notorious arm robber, a murderer, and a kidnapper. He almost kill his own family late last year because they tried to stop him from his criminal act.

He is currently on the run. His last seen was at Afu junction where he beat up a lady and snatched her bag containing a huge amount of money last week.
