But the issue that should be brought to the fore, is our successive government failed to provide some of the basics of life that would make a said bank manager enjoy his wealth in his own country. Quality of life is not and shouldn't be measured in terms of earnings alone. Imagine making so much money and spending half on fuel for your car and home. Paying exorbitant school fees, bad road, traffic jams, insecurities etc. Our govt need to fix the basic amenities of life to make us enjoy working in our own country. I don't think it's a mentality thing. But I also don't think a cleaner's job is better than manager job. The OP is also misrepresenting the facts. From the points mentioned, it's all about living in a sane country where things works and having a gainful employment but not limited to a cleaner. I think even the cleaner will struggle to pay his bills with cleaner salary especially when he has a family to take care of. That's why most of them have a 2nd job.
