My Timeline

Sept 19, 2019....booked for family reunion appointment.
Sept 1, 2020....went for interview.

October 2020, spouse recieved mail to send documents in Germany.

Nov 2020..... submitted documents.

Dec 2020...recieved a rejection letter due to low funds (I av a wife who travelled with student visa and 2kids).

Dec 2020... I wrote/submitted remonstration(appeal) to German Consulate, Lagos.

Dec 2020, we employed a German Immigration Lawyer to help out (not free).

Jan 2021 ... no info

Feb 2021..info came for my wife to submit some docs, parts of which had been earlier submitted.

March 2021, Request to put some money in a blocked account just like a student does. (Over €10k)

April 2021, Request for my wife to put money in another blocked account (more than what I blocked) which will cater for her and the two kids for a year...

May 2021... Visa Approval from Immigration Office in Germany

June 2021... Visa cleaeance recieved at German Consulate Lagos,

June 2021...to submit Insurance/passport

June 2021...Visa Call

3 days later...Visa recieved thru courier.

4 days later, landed in Germany.

Prayer! Prayers!! Prayers!!!!!!!!!!

Please N/L I was denied since 2months and their decision why they denied me was all lies . I and my fiancé sued them at the administrative court (Verwaltungsgericht) in Berlin. Please I want to know , anyone has an idea when the court can make a decision regarding my visa and is there a chance that we can win it .

Did u mention u sued them or u appealed?..
Normally they should get back to you within one month but cos of covid 19, it might take...

Just continue to track dhl, once it leaves German Consulate, u will recieve a text message provided u filled to recieve text msg on dhl app...

Hello ppl.
My spouse got appointment date after 15 months of wait. The link that accompanied the email got me confused. There is more like no pdf to download to fill in form, you would fill online then download. I want to be sure ist same thing everyone has or I am doing it wrongly.
Secondly, the checklist didn’t indicate investigation money just 80 euros of visa fee.
Pls how much is investigation money again ?

And how much is waiting period now?

Hello, The year of birth on my WAEC certificate is different from the year of birth on my passport. same date, same month but different year. Do you think this is something that could be a problem during my interview? Because the WAEC certificate is part of the checklist for family reunion visa. And if so is there anything I can do to resolve this? Please help!!!! Thanks in advance!

use another certificate maybe neco if u av to avoid future occurrences.

June 2019 - Applied for appointment
March 13th 2020 - Appointment Date
August 2020 - Documents verification complete
September 14th 2020 - Request for documents by Immigration office Berlin
October 22nd 2020 - Visa approval letter from Immigration office Berlin
November 3rd 2020 - Email from German Consulate to drop passports and travel health insurance
November 13th 2020 - Visa delivered.

your spouse' status might not get u d priority(not sure) as per 'appointment' but may influence other processes...

Is Meldebescheinigung and Anmeldebestätigung the same thing? 2) As anybody used Anmeldebestätigung in recent times when checking docs? And what was Mr Paulinus' response abt it? 3) Was it accepted?

pls to those that have gone for the interview, can you pls help snap a copy of the 'Visa Application Form' (seems there are two types but almost d same thing) and the 'questionnaire concerning the document verification process'.
Also wanna ask, does the sworn affidavit require notarization?
