I am a DAAD Ph.D. scholar. My spouse had her visa interview on 26.04.2021. However, the visa officer didn't collect her passport. Am a bit worried!
Nothing to worry about, they usually will not want to keep the passport for long, they will ask for it when the visa is approved.

Hello ppl.
My spouse got appointment date after 15 months of wait. The link that accompanied the email got me confused. There is more like no pdf to download to fill in form, you would fill online then download. I want to be sure ist same thing everyone has or I am doing it wrongly.
Secondly, the checklist didn’t indicate investigation money just 80 euros of visa fee.
Pls how much is investigation money again ?

And how much is waiting period now?

Thanks

Please please N/L house , I am in a hot seat now , the embassy wrote to me first week of this month to come and take my passport and do a new one because my own passport has only 2 months to expire, they have been holding my passport since September last year , now I went to Ikoyi passport center here in Lagos , to do a new passport and after capturing , The immigration officer told me that there is no booklet at the moment and it’s a nationwide something and that he would give me a document, indicating that I have applied for a new passport and paid fully for it and my second interview at the embassy is on Monday, please what should I do ?

Please how did it go ? did u later get a new passport or did the embassy accept the document immigration officer gave u ?
Please it would also be nice if you could reply my dm. I am facing the same situation

Good evening all,

Please I need help.

I started the process to get married to a German. Submitted all required documents at Standesamt. Lawyer has visited my schools and family for verification and confirmation of details. All these happened last year, between July and October 2020.

Now , the response is negative . The embassy says all affidavit documents (age declaration, spinsterhood, head of family declaration that I am single etc.) are not properly done. I am confused.

I am asked to submit correct documents.
My questions are:
How do I go about it so I do not make more mistakes?
Will the embassy start afresh to do verification, as it took almost 1 year to get response?

NB: I was in German when we registered to be married but now I am in Nigeria. I booked an appointment already of which I am yet to get a date.

Please someone help me

You don't seem to understand I am in Germany already. The process is hard to get approved for marriage here. Anyway different scenarios

If U have a visa either go back to Nigeria and marry or get to Denmark

After the much awaiting time, I am finally here with a testimony, I got my visa, the journey was not an easy one, I noticed German embassy don’t keep to their own side of the requirements sometimes, I was made to pay for visa fee and of course verification fee which I guess was compulsory in most cases, but they have an A1 language certificate exception if your spouse is a German, but even after submitting the first one that got expired, I was forced to get a new one, some persons were lucky to take the test ones and pass it, in my case, I had my first attempt in South Africa, second attempt in Lagos, then the lockdown hit in and institutions in Nigeria was closed, I was given a deadline to submit a new one, that made me travel to Istanbul, Turkey to take another test, this time, I gave it my all by forsaking my business in Nigeria. Sent them the result but I guess they doubted it, because they asked I send them an entry and exit stamps to Turkey, I did all that, before they asked for my passport and insurance. Submitted that on Monday the 3rd of May, with a note that I would like to pick up my passport since I have a return flight to Istanbul, these people ignored that request and sent my documents to Edo state, I had a supposed flight to catch on Friday the 14th but I missed it because I was looking for my passport, finally got a call in the evening for passport delivery, paid quite a large sum for it to be sent via flight to Lagos for me, but it did not make it to Lagos until the 15th of May.
But in all these, I give God thanks for his grace to believe he had the best plans for me.
I wish everyone here success in your application. smiley smiley

Don't know if the questions they ask ladies are different from the ones they ask the men. During my interview in February i was asked questions like
1. What are my husband's full names?
2. His date of birth( she asked this repeatedly)
3. What his occupation is
4. Where he works
5. The city he lives in
6. His house address
7. Where he was born
8. If he is a graduate
9. How much he earns
10. If he has any child
11. Where we had our statutory marriage
12. The date of our traditional marriage, white wedding and court wedding..
13. She also went through my pictures and asked who some persons in it are to me
14. She also asked how i met my husband, if we became friends before marriage or we married immediately we met.
15. She asked how often we speak on phone.
Questions plenty sha, can't remember all
Hope this helps

This simply means your visa has been approved, they just need you to provide those documents.
