House i want to know how long its take for immigrant visa application to be approved, my friend got married to an American citizen and she is trying to apply for his immigrant visa but ppl are saying that it will take up to two and half years for it to be approved and that she should file for a fiance visa for him instead. Plz how true is this?

He asked me for an advice but i have none for him since i do not know anything about traveling to the us. I know i will get an answer for him here. plz help brothers and sisters.

My friend is wedding this December to an American and he asked me the possibility of leaving with her to the US, am not so sure and i do not want to give him wrong info. I want to know what he needs to do to be able to travel with her to the US by January. plz advice is needed.
