If you're on mtn bis jus try to restrict yourself to 3gig if you dnt want experience to teach you

I've been using tunnelguru VPN since January. Read it here on Sunday how the modem works on its own without any VPN so I gave it a try - it worked.

I tried the same thing yesterday and it worked til it suddenly stopped around 3am. I thought it was a network issue so I disconnected and re-connected. It connects, but wont open any page, not even with a VPN.

I inserted the SIM in my phone, it won't even 'register' talkless of browsing or pinging.

I've been calling their customer care since morning and they've not been able to tell me what could be the cause. Telling me to perform hard reset, switch to 2G, switch data off, this and that.

I guess the fair usage policy has taken effect.

2013: Yes its 3g in my area. the average download speed is about 60kb/s. However it fluctuates. The lowest i noticed was 28kb/s. I was able to get to 120kb/s this night.

For a 3G network? I hope this is not a sign that it's about to be blocked as well

2013: Thanks. I received the SIM at Maraba. Its working very well. I really appreciate it. i hope it will last like you said. However it took almost an hour to download HP scanning software of 209mb. if i need more i'll let you know.

Seems it is affecting me already. After it stopped browsing with vpn, I put back my sim into my BB and its still not connecting. I hope I'm not alone....please someone confirm this

The BBC according to package features has 200mb as its limit but becos the engineers up till now could not create that limit for this particular brand, customers are not able to view their data limit as a result hence you could use beyond your limit, but no can't access more than one email account as oppose to BIS where u can access up to 10 email account.

I wonder why nairaland IT section is excluded from their social club, else all these 'I know pass' for no dey.

Hmmm, can you explain why my BBcurve 3 has stopped browsing. I send 'status' to 21600 and they tell me it would expire on 28th April but it still doesn't connect...why? If it is that I've used up the so-called '200MB' allocated to BBC then wouldn't it be easier if they told me I've exhuasted my MB than showing me my expiration date....abi?
