Yeah...I saw one killed a raven sometime in 2012/2013. I cant remember if there was a hummm noise though. As usual, I and my guy were strolling by after we just finished our CDS and while gisting and all I noticed the black bird fly above us. While just watching it, it headed for the power tension na so the thing electrocuted it right there and there was a loud spark and down it fell...dead!

I'm currently using this device and I settled for it out of happenstance. My redmi note 3 soft bricked and I didn't have time to flash a ROM so I approached a neighbor who sells and fixes phone to pick something I can use for the meantime and he recommended this Gionee GN5001s. I think on Thur will make it one week. So now here are my observations:
1. OrestesDante is right about the play store issh cos I had to return the first phone my guy gave me due to being unable to install anything from playstore. Unfortunately he had lots in his inventory with that issh. After plenty tests we found one that was OK
2. Voice calls are sharp. Though I wish it was a bit louder sha. But notwithstanding, its still quite audible
3. Both cameras are alright. Nothing special
4. Browsing is great.
5. It does not in anyway charge fast. Its obvious... It doesn't support fast charge lolz. I've not tested how long it charges to full but from the little here and there charging e no fast oOo. But the battery (4000mah) is ok. I consider myself a moderate user. With 3gb on all day and normal browsing and chatting it lasts me more than 10hrs. Its an extrapolation though. I've not done factual testing. Sorry.

I suggest prospective buyers should check for the following:
1. Ensure to download successfully from play store
2. Camera; cos mine has lines. I think its my phone. I manage am like that sha
3. Network. Make calls and browse with it. Not sure it supports 4g. Though mine had 4g features but it might just be the ROM flashed and not the phone features itself. I've not tested to confirm sha so please confirm if that's what you want.
4. Touchscreen.... Check its fine. I don't have problem with mine
5. Check the memory card slot and actually test a memory card to see if the phone would read it. My guy had some with faulty mmc slots.
6. Get the 32gb version if you can afford it. Maybe cos I'm used to 32gb and above sha but the 16gb is too small for me. That's a personal preference anyway.

Finally, my experience has been cool so far. No problems... Everything working great and I love the phone. If you are looking for a less sophisticating device, here it is.
I plan to give this to my mom and maybe get me the 32gb variant.
Its a simple device.
