Miui has no problem with supersu, as GrandMufti said, if you just update via OTA, you become fully unrooted.

never said it had a problem with miui....why I said magisk is better is because chainfire updates has stopped.. and if boot image is patched via SuperSU root...during unroot. U'll get bricked..any doubt with what I've said..I'll drop steps to brick ur device via SuperSU ...I'm speaking from what I experience Everytime I switch between su and magisk

Yes, Oga GrandMufti just answered.

One can unroot his/her Xiaomi device, if he/she flashes a locked Miui ROM through fastboot method.

without flashing u can unroot...every root binary has it's own unroot binary....
But if u root with SuperSU ..it patches ur devices boot image..if no backup...u get stock in a bootloop...
If u wish to root..I advice
U root ur device with Magisk..
Same process kstan explained above...but the part where u flash SuperSU .zip... This time around u flash magisk.zip
It's better than SuperSU

same thing bro...for Redmi 4x users there is an AIO Toolkit for it...(no need for the adb part ) just single click on pc and it's all done automatically)

I just decided to try Ntel on my phone, network refused to show even when I created the APN. How can I disabled this sim activation whenever I changed sim.

that's not the reason why it's not showing...had same issue...
After searching 4 the network manually and attempt registration... successful or fail goto Phone info.....and select "LTE" Option only...enter airplane mode...get back to network mode...it Should pop in normally...
If it fails keep switching to other network options and getting back to LTE only option.....anytime u get back to LTE only...go-to airplane mode and back to normal...once it comes up...it won't happen again unless after a device hard reset...

first unlock bootloader
2ndly get TWRP installed on ur device...
Finally get the ROM and install via TWRP

I'm enjoying the ba3 backup on MiUipro compared the stock I was on b4...
MiUipro all updates ..not more Dan 1GB ..JUST 900mb+

Miui 9 Official - it's all good,not rooted

MiUipro - it's all good,based on official update and has more settings to official release.rooted with SuperSU can be changed.

Repacked MiUipro- is all good too,based on MiUipro ..has more customization to MiUipro and rooted with magisk..comes embedded with V4A and some other stuffs..

So pick where u stand...

When you flash new iterations of miuipro from twrp, do you lose all your data only to restore them later or it just updates keeping everything intact?

I don't loose...just gotta twrp.. install d update..but this last one,I forgot I removed SuperSU in place of magisk...and installing this new update(comes with SuperSU) led to bootloop ...coz MiUipro usually comes with SuperSU root...but "Repacked MiUipro" comes with magisk
