I've flashed TWRP, no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1, and RWR using TWRP.

Dirtyflashed miui stable 9.0.3.0 using RWR to enable OTA updates and I lost neither a file nor data.

And finally,, Magisk..

Everything works fine and I noticed increased fluidity, maybe it's RwR or just a placebo effect.

Miui premium 9.0.3.0 stable is already downloaded and ready to be put to use.

There's this whatsapp group for RN4(x)-mido with geeks, mostly Indians and about 3 Nigerians that I think you will find interesting.

Open this link...select ur device name...still don't which of the Xiaomi u are using would av dropped a direct link...
But through the below link...after selecting ur device ... they'll show different steps of flash...adb inclusive

I've been trying to flash RWR using adb command prompt method to flash directly without first flashing TWRP (same method used for twrp) but it's not working. I dunno if u can use miflash to flash the .img directly, Any ideas?

I doubt if miflash will run it ..why not use official TWRP app to flash the RWR ...I'm on official TWRP....I'm on Redmi 4x Santoni...my TWRP.img and urs(Note 4) r different

yup,(fastboot) if these methods below will work...then adb does work if u know ur way around with adb.. by renaming the RWR img file to recovery.img

Naaa, never doubted you, not talking of switching between supersu and magisk either, am saying those who use a xiaomi with supersu, has no problem to obtain full unroot, just by updating, they are good.

Miui has no problem with supersu, as GrandMufti said, if you just update via OTA, you become fully unrooted.

never said it had a problem with miui....why I said magisk is better is because chainfire updates has stopped.. and if boot image is patched via SuperSU root...during unroot. U'll get bricked..any doubt with what I've said..I'll drop steps to brick ur device via SuperSU ...I'm speaking from what I experience Everytime I switch between su and magisk
