Don't come here to encourage protest. Your "bread" shall be paid when due. I wrote an article last year (when we were still in the race for the award) about survival in the UK. Don't think doing menial jobs would suffice. Jobs like; gateman, shop-attendant, boy-boy etc. If you're doing any of these stop right now you're at the losing end. I hope you were paid 500k into your respective naira accounts? If that is true do this! In Engineering their is alot you could learn. Around your city in the UK their is alot of Tech institutes you can go and get some skills for at least a period of one month or thereabout. Use the 500k to acquire skills and inturn use the skills acquired to gain better part-time employment (the same applies to other disciplines). Use your 500k judiciously, help yourself and don't be stingy, it's your money, biko! Do something Tech oriented so you wouldn't suffer in the hands of business owners. Don't wait on NDDC stipend, get your own stipend of 15 - 20 pounds per hour, and not 5, 6 pounds per hour. Is that one part-time job? Has NDDC sent you to the UK to do menial jobs? Please don't instigate any protest or whatsoever, to me it is immaterial. Debunk the idea it is a sin to the government. New scholarship scheme has begun allow us to concentrate. We ain't gonna protest in Port Harcourt. You've to dance to the beat of the drum, wake up and face the reality. Go and get sustainable skills to help yourselves. NDDC didn't send sissies out on foreign studies they sent grown up adults who can face any challenge life has. Stop this suicide thing am hearing. Nigerians are not suicidal... Don't encourage protest.... They know you're out there on studies and when it's set they'll will do the needful and you'll be paid your allowances.... Good day!!!! |
We are still pushing.. It is normal when you're trying to make positive change, some would fight and kick against. For some who are still pushing you've got my support am also pushing. Somebody mentioned prayer. Yes my dear prayer is the ultimate key. Though my Bible told me that faith without work is dead. Guy as we push we back it up with prayers that; this pushing will work in no distant days. I will say it now, tomorrow and next. The scheme is your right. Enough of the talking we're still on the matter. Your vexing ain't gonna change anything why because on your end you tag us as "wrong" and on the pushing end we see it as "at this stage something positive should have started long ago". So continue with your vexing, take a pill if you'll need one and chill. Pushing will bring you cchang it ain't gonna spoil anything. You dig? ![]() |
Smiles.... What is senseless about the letter? What else were you expecting? Is just unfortunate that a handful is taking its time to push while the rest sit to abuse, cause and all. NDDC Scholarship scheme is your full right and not a privilege. You have the right to scold the commission when they fall short of their obligations. I have not really taken to the media and when I start you'll all hear from me. As for the rest who have defered their admission; you are on a lone-thing. #StayCalmJusticeIsClose |
Smiles.... If you've taken it to the media, good move... To the rest who think NDDC is going to cancel the scheme, wake up from your dreams for your plans wouldn't work. Is a positive move.... #StayPositiveJusticeIsClose |

To the NDDC_2015_SCHOLARS: I feel your pain. I have been in similar situation before and the only way we conquered was through DHL(I WILL TELL YOU WHY DHL).. The method you have resorted to, in the name of "PROTEST" is not the best... By picking quarrel with the government via SOCIAL MEDIA, to 90% of Nigerians, they would see it as "PROPAGANDA" and just a handful would understand your plight... This is my advice... 1. Send a COURIER-CONFIDENTIAL mail to the Acting MD, NDDC (CONFIDENTIAL/OFFICIAL should be written on the DHL parcel) 2. Send another COURIER-CONFIDENTIAL mail to whoever you think could take your case to the TOP...and see your result in the next 3-days. (COURIER IS AS POWERFUL AS CHARM) YOUR MISTAKE: You made a mistake when you protested to the NIGERIA HOUSE in London. What you should have done is, book an appointment to meet with the High Commissioner (Ambassador), and iron out your issues to him. The Ambassador will then fight your fight and not you coming online to say bad about the government....YOU CANNOT FINISH THIS FIGHT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE GRACE OF GOD WITH YOU. YOU MUST USE GOVERNMENT TO FIGHT GOVERNMENT....(Use your tool, THE NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSIONER and not SOCIAL MEDIA) If after the first meeting with the Ambassador nothing happens go again, go again and go again until your matter becomes his problem. As a Nigerian Foreign Scholar you have every access to the Nigeria High Commissioner to that country...From your video you were never allowed into the Commission you all stood outside to make the noise... MAKE A BETTER NOISE WITH PEN AND PAPER AND YOU WILL GO FAR... AS FOR PROSPECTIVE SCHOLARS: You cannot work anywhere in the world, 20hrs in a week that pays "just" 7pounds.2pens (7.2p) per HOUR, while studying full-time and expect to do better in academics, you expect to meet up with your BILLS? NO! Is Difficult out there... Only By GODs GRACE IF YOU WANT TO MEET UP? If your course of study is; Engineering? Do this... ===> When you early arrived in the UK, By the GRACE OF GOD, look for short courses in "Automation"... (Highest you'll pay is 500Pounds per course) from a local institute. ===> Pick up Certification programs in your different fields of studies... ===> Every university has short courses they offer. See with your departmental heads. Forget to go for shopping immediately you get in the UK. Work on yourself first, equip yourself professionally by doing programs for the first few weeks. After training you can now use your gained skills to earn more for yourself. Is only when you do a professional course then you can work as a professional and you could be paid 15pounds - and above per HOUR. Anything not PROFESSIONAL dont expect much... In all, I greet you with the FEAR of GOD.....PEACE! |
Definitely we should be expecting sms this week..... But incase no sms after Friday 12th August, 2016, then i would need volunteers (maybe four (4) persons should be enough)...that would go with me to the NDDC Office to make an official Inquiry for the delay... If you would be interested, and you can come down to Port Harcourt to be part of the team, then drop me a PM on "dneroomero@gmail.com" let me call you for a meeting... Hopefully, all-things-being-equal, this Week! Cheers... |
