I am writing to you in order to make someone understand that it's good to appreciate our partners despite their flaws.
I am 32 years of age.
My ex husband and I dated for 6 years.
We were best of friends.
I waited until he completed college and started work.
My family and his family then met.
We got married and had a son. (7 years old now).
My husband was short tempered at times but our problems started when I wanted to make him feel he couldn't control me.
Every time we argued, I would pack my bags, go to my family and explain.
My sisters would phone my husband and shout at him.
If he was controlling me I would always dare him that if he wished, he could divorce me.
I never wanted divorce.
I just had pride and I never wanted to look like a loose woman in his eyes.
One day I pushed him so hard that for the first time he beat me and locked me outside.
I went to my family, my family took him to the police, every time I looked like I was being abused!
But to be honest, I used to abuse my husband emotionally.
He was arrested and detained.
I was asked by his family to withdraw the case.
I felt that what I was doing was wrong.
My husband was never a violent man, he did what he did because I pushed him to the wall of which he openly knelt down and apologized.
I withdrew the charge, and we reconciled.
After three months, I packed my bags after a small issue and he remained alone.
After two days, I
received a call that he was in the hospital.
My family told me that I shouldn't go there because it would look like I was begging him and my sisters believed he was feigning the illness.
All this time, people felt sorry for me like I was the one being abused.
He spent a week in the hospital, after he came out, I just received a divorce summon.
I wanted to say no to divorce, but because I felt this pride, I wanted him to change his mind and beg me.
I called him and said he would get the divorce because I lived like I was in hell.
When we went to court, I wanted to make him pay, so I told the court that I needed his properties to be shared.
To my surprise he openly told the court that whatever he and I acquired together should be given to me, all he wanted was divorce.
We were divorced in 2009 July.
Now, my husband is married, whilst l am here wasted!

*1* - At all Material time , Innoson Nigeria Ltd operates a Current Account with GTBank .
*2* - Innoson obtained , and had repaid same , a loan of N1.3billion from GTB Which was secured with a legal mortgage of its properties valued at more than N1.4billion .
*3* - Innoson discovered that GTBank imposed excess and unlawful charges in its Current account .
*4* Innoson Group Complained to GTBank on his discovery of access charges on his account .
*5* - Both parties ( Innoson and GTBank ) agreed to invite an independent auditing firm that will be agreed by both parties .
*6*- At the end , MULTI-WINGS Consulting Firm of Auditors was invited to properly audit Innoson Nigeria Ltd Current account No 0043753636 domiciled with Nnewi Branch of GTBank . The audit covers a period from March 2004 to Dec 2011 .
*7* - After the account was audited , it was discovered that GTBank has been illegally deducting excess bank charges on its overdraft facility to the Innoson to the tune of seven hundred and Eighty-Six Million, Two Hundred and Five Thousand , Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five Naira , Ninety Nine kobo ( N786,205,955.99).
*8* - GTBank was shocked at the audit report when the report was forwarded to it .They replied in their letter to Innoson on 20th January , 2012 that it will investigate the issue raised and will get back to Innoson on the Conclusion of its investigation .
*9* - In the month of September 2012 , GTBank wrote to Innoson that from their personal audit report , the excess bank charges was Five Hundred and Fifty-Nine Million , three Hundred and Seventy-Two naira ,Nine kobo ( N 559.3Million).
*10* - Innoson agreed to their version and decided to accept payment from it in the spirit of amicable resolution.
*11*- Innoson also requested that the said agreed amount of N559.3million be paid with a 22% interest rate because Innoson had been repaying all his loan with GTBank at 22% interest rate.
*12* - GTBank refused and said that the best they can repay excess and illegal deduction is at 7% interest rate . This led to another disagreement between Innoson and GTBank .
*13* - As a result , in 2012 , Innoson sued GTBank at Federal High Court Awka with Suit No : FHC/Awk/Cs/2012 .
*14* - Federal High Court, Awka delivered Judgement in favour of Innoson in excess of N4.7billion against GTBank.
Delivering Judgement in suit no : FHC /Awk/ CS / 139/2012 , the FHC awarded N4.7billion to Innoson Motors against GTBank .
*The court also ordered GTBank to pay 22 % (percent ) interest on the Judgement debt until all the payment had been made to Innoson .*
*15* - In 2013 , GTBank appealed against the judgement to the Court of Appeal, Enugu Division, appoxite appeal No: CA/E/288/2013 .
*16* - The Court of Appeal , Enugu in a Considered ruling ordered GTBank to pay the Judgement debt of N6billion Inclusive of the accrued interest and any interest that would subsequently accrue thereon into an interest yielding account in the Name of the Chief Registrar of the Court .
*17* - In its various affidavits, particularly at the Court of Appeal in suit no : CA/E/288/2013 , GTBank deposed that if it pays the outstanding Judgement debt of N6billion , much less the N8.5billion , it could go bankrupt and be out of business .
*18* - GTBank went to the Supreme Court .The case is still in the Supreme Court , while the Judgement debt is about N8billion now to be paid to Innoson by GTBank .

*22* - Rather than Comply with the Garnishee Order Absolute of the Court , GTBank on February 6, 2015 appealed the Judgement , but the Court of Appeal in Appeal no. CA/1/258/
2011 affirmed the Judgement of the Federal High Court and ordered GTBank to pay the Judgement debt of #2,048,737,443.67 (#2.048billion) to Innoson .

*30* - Innoson then slammed a N30 billion suit on Guaranty Trust Bank for what it had suffered in monetary terms and reputational terms during the months when the accounts of its companies in all Nigerian banks were frozen. With Innoson winning both cases at the High Court and both cases at the Appeal Court, and GTB appealing, both cases are awaiting the verdict of the Supreme Court. A 56 -year- Fulani herdsman , Mohammed Abdulkadire, jumped into River Benue in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State , SUNDAY PUNCH has learnt.
The National Coordinator of Miyietti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria , Benue State chapter, Garus Gololo , who spoke to our correspondent on Saturday, said the deceased committed suicide after he lost 200 of his cows to hunger and lack of water .
The Benue State Government had , on November 1 , commenced the implementation of its anti -open grazing law , leading to some herdsmen relocating to other states.
Gololo said since the commencement of the Benue anti -open grazing law , Fulani herdsmen had lost about 600 cows due to poor feeding and inaccessibility to water .
He lamented that Abdulkadire , who had 22 children , cried and jumped into the river out of frustration when he discovered that 200 out of his 500 cows had died where they were camped, looking for a means to relocate from Benue State .
The herdsmen’s leader said , “ The man killed himself simply because there is no place for his cows to graze . He was to relocate to the Awe LGA of Nasarawa State but information got to us that the area was occupied and no herdsman or herdsmen should cross over to the area again .
“ We are calling on the Federal Government to intervene to quickly make provision for herdsmen in Benue State before they lose everything they have .”
When contacted , the state Police Public Relations Officer , Moses Yamu, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the suicide had not been reported.

If you tithe and your pastor takes it, you have given him and you will be blessed. If you take your tithe to an orphanage, you'll equally be blessed. If you only offer offerings, you are also giving. And you'll be also blessed. Give! Give! Give! That's what Christ taught. If you like, call it tithe and make it 10%, good for you. If you like drop your whole money, good for you. If you like drop it at the Church or at the doorsteps of the destitute, you'll receive blessing either way. Help the helpless, feed the poor, clothe the naked, for in doing these, Jesus says you are doing it directly for Him!
