*TOPIC: GOD’S BLESSINGS AND YOUR CALLING (1)*
Acts 7:9 – 14, Esther 4:13 -14

*There is a purpose behind every blessing of God in your life.* Joseph was the favourite in his father’s house, there was a measure of glory there. However, that was not the full glory that God planned for him. Until he stood in the office of the prime minister and then entered into the purpose for being the prime minister, that is, to be a saviour, the full glory of Joseph’s life was not seen. *What are you doing that is keeping the full glory of God from your life? What is the good thing that is keeping the best of God from you? It could be a good career or a good job.*

*You should, however, know that your career is a platform for your calling. If you don’t connect your career to a calling, you are wasting time. Everything that God blesses you with in the physical is supposed to enable you to fulfil His purpose.*

Esther had to become the queen in order to enter the purpose of God for choosing her. She was beautiful; she needed that beauty to win that beauty contest and she needed the office of the queen in order to do that job. *God will make sure that you get what you need in the physical to fulfil your purpose.* At that point, you must make a choice. *When God gives you a position, two things are there – affluence and influence. God needs the influence for His purpose;* Esther could have stayed there and just enjoyed the affluence of the office. However, Mordecai sensitised her to God’s call and purpose for her as queen.

*PRAYER:* Father, open my eyes to anything that is keeping your full glory from my life and give me steps to overcome them in Jesus’ name.

*TOPIC: THE GLORY OF THE CALLING (3)*
Colossians 1:27

*_“Christ in you, the hope of glory”_ refers to the same glory that is to be revealed to us, in us and conferred on us.* Christ means the Anointed One and His anointing. The Anointed One and His anointing on you, the hope of glory. *When you live out the full worth of the anointing on your calling in the world, the full glory is expressed.*

The glory that goes to God in your life cannot come from your career. The powerful callings of an apostle, a missionary, an evangelist, a pastor’s wife etc. are lying dormant right inside some people today. They have signed an accord with circumstances or with some problems that are disturbing them. No! *It is time for you to rise and say, “I am going to live out the full worth of my calling on the earth”.* Then that glory is going to be revealed in you and for you and conferred on you. Nothing else can bring glory to God than the calling.

For example, I read Electrical Engineering at university but God called me to be a minister of the gospel. Suppose I am now practising as an Electrical Engineer, I will not be blessing as many people as God is using me to bless today. I am not saying that it is wrong to have gone to school to read that course. No, but I must go beyond that; I must discover my purpose. Thank God for the knowledge that I have from being an Electrical Engineer, *but the glory of the calling is what is affecting many people today.*

*PRAYER:* Father, thank you for the many platforms you have given me. I ask that you take me further into your purpose and call for my life in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC:*THE GLORY OF THE CALLING (2)*
Romans 8:15-18; Jeremiah 1:5; Hebrews 2:10-13


Romans 8:18 (AMP)
*18 [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!*

Which glory is being referred to in the Scripture above? *It is the glory of walking in the full worth of your purpose on the earth.* There is a dimension of glory that will not come to you because of your career, beauty, or connection but simply because of your calling. That is your true divine identity to this generation.

When God spoke to Jeremiah in Jeremiah chapter 1, he was a shepherd boy. There was a glory not on him yet even if he was the best shepherd boy. It is only his prophetic destiny that could confer that glory on him. That is the full glory, the kind of glory that Romans 8:18 is referring to.

There was a time in Apostle Paul’s life that he was a lawyer taught by the best legal mind in the land, Gamaliel. He was a religious man but there was a glory lacking in his life – the glory of his destiny, the glory of his purpose, the glory of his calling. That glory can only come when you walk in the full worth of your calling on the earth.

Hebrews 2:10 says that God is bringing many sons unto glory. It is the glory of the calling that the Scripture is talking about and not the glory in heaven. We are moving from glory to glory until we go into the glory but we are not in the glory yet. *As we press further in the purpose of God for our lives, another level of the glory of His purpose comes upon us*.

*PRAYER:* Father I thank You for the glory of my calling. I receive grace to press on daily into my calling until I see You in glory in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE GLORY OF THE CALLING (1)*
Romans 8:15-18

From verse 15 of the Scripture above, it is clear we received the Spirit of adoption when we were brought into the Kingdom of God as His children. It is available for us to receive and if you are genuinely born again, you have received it. There is a Spirit inside us that cries “Abba Father”, saying that we are children of God. However, the fullness of our adoption will come at the rapture when our bodies and callings are fully redeemed.

I want you to begin to think of yourself not just as a biological creation of a man and a woman sleeping together but as a product of divine purpose. *You must see yourself as a divine purpose walking in the flesh, and until you fully discover, pursue and fulfil that purpose, you are not totally redeemed. That is what Christianity is all about.* Christianity is not just about deliverance from sin. *Deliverance from sin is a means to an end; it is to lead us into the full redemption of our purpose on the earth.* We must live out in the flesh the full worth of our purpose on the earth.

Also, take note of the phrase “…if so be that we suffer with Him…”in verse 17b of our text today. *There is a suffering in the flesh that leads to the manifestation of the purpose of God.* Many people are not willing to suffer.; that is why they don’t get involved with this side of redemption. People like to stay on the side of redemption where miracles happen and they are free from sin and the curse. *Know that you are redeemed from sin so that your calling and your purpose can be redeemed unto God.*

*PRAYER:* Father, thank You for my salvation and redemption. I consciously choose Your purpose and call for me today and receive help to fulfil every aspect of it in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: WHAT JESUS COMES TO REDEEM US FROM (2)*
Romans 8:11-23

Yesterday, I showed you five things that God redeems us from. I will be showing you two more today.

*6. REDEMPTION OF THE BODY (Rom. :* When Jesus comes back for us, our bodies will be redeemed. Our bodies are not redeemed at present. That is why your body will want to do evil and your flesh still wants to misbehave. Big thanks to God we are going to have new bodies one day. Soon and very soon we are going to have bodies that do not get tired, bodies that will fully cooperate with our spirits and want to serve God. At present, the type of bodies we have does not want to serve God.

*7. REDEMPTION OF GIFTS AND CALLING:* The climax of this whole story of redemption is the redemption of gifts and callings. When a man’s gifts and calling are not redeemed, he is living a life of futility. The Bible says, “Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish (Pro. 29:18, AMP)” – there is a lot of wastage. *I pray for you that your life will be accomplished, fulfilled and maximised under the programme of God for your life in Jesus’ name.*

The full redemption of man as it relates to the purpose of God for him is a dimension of redemption many people do not get so much involved in because it demands efforts on the part of man. *Redemption from sin, the curse, and the evil world is entirely based on what Jesus has done. The redemption of our time and redemption from futility requires efforts on our parts.* These two especially have to do with your destiny but the redemption of the body has not been done. *I pray for you that you will take these dimensions of your redemption serious and appropriate them in Jesus’ name.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit to take hold together with me against my infirmities and birth a total recovery of all I have lost to sin, the devil, and the world in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: JESUS IS SEEKING TO REDEEM GIFTS AND CALLINGS THESE LAST DAYS*
Romans 11:29; Hebrews 2:10

The Bible says, “For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.” This statement is so weighty. It means that *gifts and calling come from God and they are irrevocable; God does not remove them. It also implies that a man can end up in hell with the call of God upon his life.* Can you imagine somebody burning in hell today that has the call of an apostle, evangelist, prophet, pastor, or teacher but never got born again let alone pursue the call? I believe that a man must be serious and sober to pursue the call of God upon his life and see that he fulfils it.

*The redemptive programme of God is not complete until there is a total and full redemption of all the perverted and stolen callings and gifts in the world.* That is what God plans to do in these last days. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is seeking to bring men out of darkness into the Kingdom and to bring them into the glory of God.

In Hebrews 2:10, the Scripture says, “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings”. *Jesus saves you from sin and darkness into the Kingdom and then brings you unto glory.* Bringing you unto glory means bringing you unto the fullness of His call upon your life. *The only way we are going to stand and walk in the fullness of the glory of God is when our gifts and callings are redeemed.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, I pray for a total recovery and redemption of every divine deposit You have made in me Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: AWAKE! A CROWN OR A CRY AWAITS YOU AFTER YOUR RACE ON THE EARTH*
2 Timothy 4:8; 2 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 9:25

Yesterday, I showed you that all the stolen calls must be brought back, restored, redeemed and released to function at optimal capacities. *It is then that the goal of God will be accomplished and the Church would be functioning at her full capacity and fulfil her mission on the earth.* That is also when you, as a human being, will fulfil your mission on the earth.

*You may wonder why people don’t go to heaven after they are born again. It is not that God cannot take you to heaven immediately after you get born again but He has something for you to do on the earth; this is His reason for sending you to this earth.* Once you are born again, you are qualified and fit for heaven but you’ve got to do certain things here that have been assigned to you before you were born. That is why *you and I have to get involved with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to find out what we are supposed to do so that we won’t cry when we get to heaven.*

*Sometimes ago, the Lord spoke to my heart that there were two things waiting for everybody at the end of this race: a crown or a cry.* For some people, tears would be wiped from their eyes, and for some, God will place crowns on their heads because they did what He sent them to do. *I want you to make up your mind that you are going to be among the people that God will place crowns on their heads.* Make up your mind that you won’t be among the people that God is going to wipe tears from their eyes – tears of regret, pain, and sorrow – because they did not do what He sent them to do even though they made heaven.

*PRAYER:* God, I pray that Your call on my life will not be perverted, wasted, or destroyed but will be fully redeemed. I will function at the full capacity of Your call on my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE CALL: THE CAPACITY THAT GOD CREATED IN YOU TO MAXIMISE YOU*
Jeremiah 1:5

Our text today indicates that before you had an earthly father, you had a heavenly Father; *the One who created you, designed you, put you together, sent you here, and gave you a mission to come and fulfil on the earth. Are you involved in that mission?* That is my question to you.

*When I talk of the call that God is seeking to redeem on the earth today, I am talking of the capacity that God created in you before you were born and which determines your true potential and performance level.* It does not mean that you are already operating at that level yet, but you should be making progress towards it every day. If you are not, you should do something about it by the time you are through reading today’s Devotional. This is very important.

For instance, an old rickety car cannot perform at the level of a new modern car because they were made with different capacities. The new car can be performing like the old but the old car cannot perform at the level of the new car. The old car can perform at its peak but it can’t ever be up to the optimal performance level of a new car. However, the new car that is performing at a lower capacity is only wasting the resources that went into making it.

*Similarly, many human beings today are operating lesser than the capacity of the call of God on their lives. This also includes a lot of born-again people. I believe that the Holy Spirit is challenging you through this Devotional to begin to improve on your performance as far as your calling is concerned.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, I pray for grace to maximise all the talents and gifts You have placed in me. I will not live a reduced life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: DON’T LET THE DEVIL HIJACK THE INNER DRIVE THE CALLING BRINGS*
Colossians 1:29

The “working” that Paul was referring to in our text today is the “working of the calling”. *There is a call that is inside every human being that generates an unnatural, beyond-this-world drive and makes a man to excel in certain fields of life endeavour.* However, if that man is not born again or is ignorant of what is working inside him and the goal of that working, the devil can hijack that working and lead him into something different.

There was a time in the life of Apostle Paul that the call of God on his life was hijacked by the devil. He was absolutely committed to destroying the Church until God arrested him to do what He originally sent him to the earth to do. God sent him to advance His purposes but he was rather advancing the purposes of the devil. However, at his conversion, Paul crossed over into the programme of God for his life. From then, the same drive that was driving him when he was killing Christians began to drive him to advance the Gospel.

You could be reading this and you are like Paul – that is, the call of God upon your life has been hijacked by the devil because you are not born again or you are ignorant of it. Alternatively, it could be because you are careless or you neglected it. Now is the time for you to repent and let the Holy Spirit take over your call and begin to drive it. *Your case is not hopeless; you can still bring the full reason why you came to the earth into manifestation for everybody to enjoy.*

*The redemptive programme of God is not complete until there is a total and full redemption of all the perverted calls and gifts in the world.* All the stolen calls must be brought back, restored, redeemed, and released to function at an optimal capacity. That is when the goal of God will be accomplished.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I pray for an awakening in any way I am asleep to the divine demands in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: YOUR CALLING PREDATES YOUR BIRTH*
Jeremiah 1:4-5

*According to the Bible, there are various categories of human beings. There are those who have come to this earth, lived here, and gone back either to heaven or to hell.* Heaven or hell are the only two destinations after this earth. *This earth is not the end of the road; there is heaven to gain and hell to lose. The door to heaven is Jesus Christ – having a relationship with Jesus, submitting your life to His Lordship, and living under His direction.*

Then, there are human beings that are living on the earth now, you and I. *We are living in this body of flesh but it is not this body of flesh that makes a man; it is the spirit that lives inside a man that is the real man.* It is the spirit that is hungry for the fulfilment of purpose and destiny; it is that spirit that is crying after God. *Moreover, you and I are going to give account of how we live in this flesh.* One day, we are going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give account of what we have done in the body, whether good or bad.

In the third category are human beings that have not come to this earth yet. They are not lesser human beings than those of us that are here or those that have come and gone because they are in existence before God. You existed before you were born. In Jeremiah 1:4-5, God didn’t say, “I’m knowing you now”. *You were formed when your father and mother came together and conception took place but you have been in existence with God before then.* The channel that you came through is your father and mother. Nevertheless, the Source from which you and I came is God.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive the wisdom to take the paths that have been predestined for what You have created me for in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: YOU ARE UNIQUE BEFORE GOD*
Romans 11:29

In the Dream Centre, the Month of May is a month we deal with matters of the calling. *This Year 2022, I will be marking 39years of heeding the call of God and I can boldly say, “NO REGRETS OBEYING THE LORD!”*

*When God sends a man into the world, He places a call on his life and this is the mission of that human being on the earth.* That call is created and deposited inside a certain talent and ability that no other person really has. We may try to copy people but there are some things that only a particular person can do exceptionally well with little struggle and with great ease. When such a person is born again, God gives him certain gifts that go along with the call on his life to accomplish his mission on the earth and the Bible says that God does not withdraw those gifts and callings (Rom. 11:29). *A man can, however, withdraw from the call after being born again by living in such a way that he cannot function with the gifts of God in his life.*

*This Month, we will be taking a deeper look into the purpose of God’s gifts and calling on you in these last days.* The goal is to bring into full redemption the totality of these gifts and callings that God has deposited in you.

*I believe that the Holy Spirit is going to lead you systematically into a place where you will be able to answer this question: What is my mission on the earth as a human being?* This is crucial because before you came into the world, God had a purpose for you. Are you fulfilling that mission? Are you involved in the mandate of Heaven for your life?

*PRAYER:* Lord, I pray for divine leading in the right steps and direction that will take me to the right destination in the call You have placed over my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*Angels are sent to minister for us while the Holy Spirit ministers to us. So, your words and actions affect what is going on in the spirit realm; they are either accelerating the process or stopping it.*

*The devil can see what is going on in the spirit but he can’t stop the angels nor can he stop what God has put in motion for you. The devil can’t stop the command that God has given concerning you.*

In Zechariah 3, Joshua was clothed in filthy garments in the spirit, and physically his ministry was in shambles. It is noteworthy that *there are dreams that you don’t discard.* Some things happen in the lives of people that they can’t trace to anything physical because the most oppressed human being is the one that the devil is working in his life and he is blinded to it. *Sometimes when God moves in your life, the first thing that happens to you is that you begin to have dreams.* Like a person that sees himself with excreta all over his body and wonders why he has been having disfavour all around. He should go to somebody that can help him to break that yoke because *your dream at times comes as a means by which God shows you the spiritual side of your life that the devil has hidden from you.*

God is in the spirit communicating with you and angels are on assignment working for you. Sometimes, the instruction that God gives you is to connect your life to what angels are doing. That is why you have to be in a condition to receive. *However, it is what you are doing and saying that keep that process going. So, keep saying what God’s word has said and believe it.*

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank You for the ministry of angels for me. I join myself to everything Your holy angels are working for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*I want you to always remember that your faith connects you to the power of God and you must understand how a man’s physical action relates to the power of God. Whatever the case may be, a man must have a promise. That promise must come either from the Bible or the Holy Spirit.* If you don’t see it in the Bible, you must see it in the Holy Spirit, otherwise, the devil is deceiving you. You cannot claim something that the Bible does not promise or that the Holy Ghost has not given you, be it a prophecy or covenant.

*When a prophetic declaration comes and you receive it with your mouth, your spirit will begin to receive direction.* The Bible says, _“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD”_ (Psa. 37:23). The Holy Spirit will tell you what to do. When a man wants a better life and becomes angry at his current status, if he doesn’t connect to the Holy Spirit, he will take dangerous actions in the physical. Some people have resigned from their job and remained jobless for the next three years because they took steps outside of the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Someone comes to church, heard another person testified that he sowed his car as a seed and God sent him two cars in two months, so, he went to give his car as a seed without receiving specific divine instruction in that direction. No power of God will be involved in what he did and there will be no result to show for his action. That is how the life of some people has not been real but a mere drama. *I want you to get out of drama into reality.*

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank You for the leading of the Holy Ghost. I receive corrective steps to take for every wrong action I have taken against the process and the power of God for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*I want you to know that nothing just happens for a child of God.* If you don’t understand that *prayer sets things in motion and faith also sets things in motion,* you are wasting your time with God. You may have situations in your life that you call coincidences. You were at the right place at the right time and you say, “It just happened!” *In actual fact, nothing just happens.*

*It’s either the devil is influencing your circumstances or angels are influencing your circumstances. When you pray and act in faith, you set in motion a divine process that the outcome can only be glorious and positive.*

The first time we got the offer to buy the land on which we built our Church Headquarters, we didn’t have the money. The offer came back to us five years later, it had multiplied five times the initial price, and we still didn’t have the money that time. I was teaching a series on the End-Time on our broadcast at that time and the owner of the land happened to be following the series on the television. The man was in his 70s and was thinking of eternity. So, that series on TV and the teaching on the end-time gripped his heart. When we approached him to buy the land, he said he liked my teaching. So, I sent him a complete set of the teaching. We still didn’t have all the money but the man said our Church would have it. He added that he would state in his will that the land should be sold to no other person but our Church. *God arranged that; it was not a coincidence.*

*PRAYER:* Father, I thank You because in everything You are working for my good. Help me not to obstruct Your processes and workings in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE FOR OBTAINING DIVINE PROMISES* (3) – James 2:14-26

We have seen how claiming the promise while you allow God to choose the answer and investing in your spiritual potency are key to enhancing your awareness of realities in the spirit realm and guaranteeing divine answers as you walk by faith. We will move on to the third point today.

3. Know your corresponding action of faith
*God is responsible for the fulfilment of the promise because He is the Giver of the promise but you must stay in faith*. Saying things like, “God, I don’t know whether I will get married” because you are growing in years and still single is not how to stay in faith. *Your mouth and your action must be correctly aligned*.

From the illustration of the brother I gave you on Day 23 of this Devotional, can that brother go and pick a wedding date? No! That is where people get in trouble. On the action of faith in doing the Word of God, you can only go as far as it is legally possible for you to go. *Anything beyond legal boundaries is foolishness and presumption*. So, the brother cannot choose a wedding date yet.

*When it concerns actions of faith, you must know what they are not*. In dealing with this subject in finances, a person that issues a cheque with a figure on it and gives it to somebody that he owes money, knowing that he has no money in his account is fraudulent and can be jailed for that.

It is not legal for that brother to set a wedding date but he can design a wedding programme or decide on the number of groom’s men he wants. Those actions are perfectly legal and are consistent with God’s work on the case. *Your actions must be within the confines of legality and possibility*. At any point in time, if the brother speaks wrong or acts wrong, the process will stop. There is however a process that starts as soon as you act in faith. *As soon as prayer is offered for you, as soon as hands are laid on you for healing, as soon as you say “Amen” in faith, you must move into actions that are consistent or corresponding to that truth and reality in the spirit.*

*PRAYER*: Thank You Father for this truth. I receive the help of the Holy Spirit to act in line with all Your promises to me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Today, I will talk about the second thing that will enhance your awareness of realities in the spirit realm and guarantee divine answers as you walk by faith.

2. Invest in your spiritual potency
The problem with many Christians is that they are not serious with matters concerning the practical side of Christianity. *Applied Christianity means applying the Word of God to your life. You cannot be quoting a Scripture you don’t know fully. You must know the chapter and verse because if there is a demon resisting you, he will ask you where the Scripture is located.* You don’t have to quote the Bible offhand; it is an open-book exam. Tell the devil to wait for you while you get a concordance and a good Bible.

Disappointingly, most Christians don’t even have a good Bible with centre references and footnotes. The devil will like you when he knows that you are not serious as a Christian. *As soon as God starts to bless you, the first thing you should do is to start investing in your spiritual potency.*

When I was a young Christian, I invested in messages on tapes and Bibles. I knew that my future was in the calling and ministry, so I invested in that. What are you investing in? I put myself into things that will give me a future right from my university days. Those days, I would learn chapters of the Bible by heart and then apply the Scriptures to my situation. Today, most Christians are not serious about soaking in the Word of God. They are not serious about studying the Word of God but just enjoy listening to sermons alone. Even while listening to sermons, they don’t make notes nor buy tapes or books.

*PRAYER*: Father, I make a conscious decision today to invest more in my spiritual potency. I repent of neglect of the past and receive the help of the Holy Spirit to do more daily with what You have made available for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

One of my goals is to show you some key things that will enhance your awareness of realities in the spirit realm and guarantee divine answers as you walk by faith.

*1. You claim the promise, God chooses the answer*
When you are acting in faith, you claim the promise but God picks the answer. People get in trouble when they claim the answer. Every promise is convertible to an answer. *The only thing that you pick is the promise, the prophecy, or the covenant, while God picks the answer.*

*For example, a brother looking for a wife can claim Proverbs 18:22 or Psalm 37:23 but cannot go to pick a wife.* He cannot say, “I claim that sister in the choir.” He cannot claim any sister but allow God to pick the answer to that promise for him. Some brothers have gone ahead to pick the answer and picked a sister that is already claimed (engaged or married). It is God that will show the brother the lady to propose to. God picks the wife because God knows who he should marry. The brother is to keep holding on to the promise instead of praying like an unbeliever.

I use this as an example because it applies to everything. The brother has to hold on to the Word and keep doing the work that God told him to do. Anytime thoughts come to his mind, he should go back to that promise for reassurance knowing that God is working upon his case. *Once you start walking and working in faith, you have set a divine process for the manifestation in motion.*

*PRAYER:* Father, thank You for Your covenants and promises (mention specifically what promise you are holding on to) and I thank You for helping me to continue my faith walk as Your wisdom picks the best for me in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: BE A REAL AND THOROUGH CHRISTIAN*

*God is looking for believers that would say to the world, “Christianity: our religion today, your religion tomorrow.”* If you don’t do it, people from all kinds of religions will do it to your children. *It is not about paying lip service to Christianity but you must be a real and thorough Christian for the sake of your children and the coming generations.*

*The role of the Church is to see to it that the eternal life you received when you made Jesus your Lord and Saviour would be expressed fully.* All the rivers that are inside your belly must be unlocked because the days ahead are wonderful. Gross darkness is going to cover the people and they are going to get more confused and ignorant of spiritual things. In their boasting of knowledge, the devil is going to visit the world with calamities. Nevertheless, I thank God because He is going to help us.

The last days are here because terrible things are visiting the world. Time is short and the days of religion are over. *It is the day of real Christianity now. It is wartime!* The devil does not want the Church to be relevant in these last days, yet, *these are the days that God has said the glory of the Church is coming, when we will begin to walk in the things that God has hidden from the world but hidden for our glory.*

You may be a young lady who is on fire now but is planning to get married and cool down. Once the devil knows your plan, he is smart enough to postpone all the battles until the time you marry. *The devil never attacks strength but weakness.* So, if you are a “faithful until…” kind of person, he will avoid you but will come for you when what you are “faithful until” for comes.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive Your grace to be faithful to the very end. I yield to the moulding of God for rivers of God in my belly to be unlocked to my generation in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: YOU MUST BE TRAINED!*

*There are four groups of Christians you can find in the church now:*
Group I: “I like the Bible” group
Group II: “I read the Bible” group
Group III: “I study the Bible” group
Group IV: “I obey the Bible” group

*The ones that are standing when others are falling are the ones that are obeying the Bible. The Bible is given you to obey it and shape your life right.* The main generation of human beings on the stage of life at every point in time is the generation between 15 and 40 years in the world. Unfortunately, people currently in this category already have a view of the Bible as outdated on current issues. Although this is entrenched in the Western world, it is already coming to Africa. *The most dangerous position this group of people is taking now is that they don’t consider the Bible as the source of truth any longer.*

I once watched an interview conducted with a scientist that wanted to study the meteor. This scientist wanted to find out what happened in meteors and how they operate so that they could trace how we got on earth as human beings. When I heard this, the Holy Spirit touched my heart with an illustration.

Imagine two people saw two chairs and they didn’t know who put them there but the rest of the people there knew who did and told them, the person that put the chairs there also came and confirmed the information but they still said they didn’t believe and insisted they would find out how the chairs got there. If they begin to study chairs in a bid to find out how those two chairs got to where they were, what do you think the people there would think? Why did the scientist say he wanted to trace how we got here? He simply didn’t want to accept the Bible’s opinion on how we got here.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I make a commitment to daily study and obey Your word. I receive the Bible as my manual for daily living in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: FIND A SCRIPTURE THAT CONNECTS YOUR NEED TO THE POWER OF GOD*
Matthew 21:22; Matthew 7:7; 1 John 3:22; Jeremiah 1:11-12

Consider this example, if the survival of a man’s son is dependent on the current of air from a fan and somebody says he wants to disconnect the fan, I’m sure that man will rise to protect that fan.

*If you know that your faith is what connects your life and effort to God’s power, you should do all it will take not to let anything shut down your faith.* I believe you also know that even if you turn the speed knob of the fan to work at a higher speed, you will still need to connect it to electricity to work.

I remember when we believed God for curtains in our house many years ago. It didn’t bother me as much as it bothered my wife because I spend most of my time in the room. So, I asked her what Scripture she was standing on and she said, “Whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Mat. 21:22). I told her it would take her a long time to receive if she’s standing on that Scripture and I advised her to get a more specific Scripture. I told her to find a Scripture in the Bible that talked about curtains. I didn’t help her to find it but she found it herself.

She went to search and found where the Bible says God stretched forth the heavens like a curtain in Psalm 104:2. Then she told God, “If You can stretch forth the heavens like a curtain, You can spread curtains in my sitting room.” Some days after that, my sister called her from another town and said that she found a very good tailor that designed special curtains, and she was the first person that came to her mind. She asked my wife to send the measurements of our living room to her and the curtains were delivered in no time. My wife got the scripture to connect her request for curtains in the living room to God’s power and she got her need supplied.

*PRAYER:* Father, I make a commitment to diligently study and find the word that will connect my life to Your power day-by-day in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*There is an action* that keeps the power of God connected to your life. *There is a speech* that keeps the power of God connected to your life. *If you change the two (i.e. the action and the speech), you would have switched off the power of God and the devil knows that the only person that can switch it off is the person that switched it on.*

Once you switch on the power of God in your life, no witch can stop it and no devil can stop it. *The only thing the devil can do is to get you to stop it. He does this by working upon your mind and getting people to ask you foolish questions that will get you to change what you are saying.* That is why the Bible says you should hold fast to your confession (Heb. 10:23) because it is your confession that keeps the power on.

*The three sets of actions that connect your faith to the power of God are as follows:*
1. Hearing the word of God;
2. Speaking the word of God; and
3. Doing the word of God.

*Do all you can to keep your faith connected to the power of God. If there is no power of God, faith won’t work. Most people are trying to connect their faith to human will.* I have seen people that are using human stubbornness and that will just get the devil on their case because that is not faith. *Your faith must be connected to the power of God and this must be traceable to something you found in the Bible or what the Holy Spirit told you.* If it’s not traceable to any of those two, you are not in faith.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I make a commitment to continually hear, speak, and do Your word in order to stay connected to Your power all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE POWER OF GOD BRINGS ACCELERATION *– 1 Kings 18:44-46; Luke 5:4-7


Recall the instruction of Elijah to King Ahab to get on his chariot and drive to the gate of Jezreel in 1 Kings 18:44-46. The Bible says the hand of God came upon Elijah and he outran the king’s chariot. The power of God did not carry Elijah and put him at the gate; he ran. His legs were moving physically but something came upon him and the speed at which his legs were moving was divinely accelerated beyond normal. *Note that the natural processes were not cancelled.*

Medicine tells us that our body has the capacity to heal itself. It is when the condition that attacks the body is bigger and stronger than the natural body defence that the body breaks down and goes down towards death. Medicine then comes in to enhance the ability of the body to get itself back. Sometimes medicine works and sometimes it doesn’t work. At some other times, the medicine works and leaves some side effects. *However, when the power of God comes upon that body, it is the same natural healing process in the body but it is divinely accelerated, faster than the sickness working against it. So, to assume that God will just get in and you will do nothing when you ask Him to help you is not going to work*.

In Luke 5, Peter and his fellow fishermen had toiled all night and caught nothing. Jesus asked to use Peter’s boat and he agreed. When Jesus finished preaching, He turned to the fishermen and said, “Launch out into the deep.” He didn’t tell them to do something strange but the same thing they did as fishermen. Peter told Him that was what they did all night but caught nothing despite their experience and expertise. Peter was also a fisherman who had partners, showing that what they had going wasn’t a small business. However, *their obedience to the instruction of Jesus superimposed the divine power on their natural effort and they had a ship-sinking catch that day.*

*PRAYER*: Lord, from this day, I open my life to intelligent partnership with Your power for divine outcomes in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: ADD GOD’S POWER TO YOUR NATURAL EFFORTS* (2) – 1 Kings 18:44-46; Luke 1:26-38

Some people will assume that they are not supposed to do anything but you have to add God’s power to your natural efforts. If a man is looking to have a child but can’t because of low sperm count, God doesn’t need more than one sperm from him to fertilise his wife. It is the doctor that knows and needs about 10 million sperms to be available before one of the 10 million can fertilise the egg. They may say that a man’s sperm is weak but God says His power will come upon that man to make that weak sperm strong enough to impregnate his wife. *It is the same thing that the man had done before but God’s power is added to his effort now.*

*When you go to the library as a student to read, connect to the power of God by your faith. You are going to read like you always read but somehow you will find out that you understand better as if the author is seated inside your brain. *Most times, people assume they won’t do anything. That is an injection of thought from the devil. * When a student goes to see a diviner to help him and the diviner gives him a handkerchief to rub his face in the exam hall for answers to appear, they are fed with the lie that they don’t need to read. If it works like that, why is the son of that diviner not going to school to use the same handkerchief? This is where most Christians fail because they refused to find out what they are supposed to do to cooperate with Heaven to bring divine power upon their natural efforts. *You need to find out what you are supposed to do to make God’s power work with you.*

*Bible faith is always connected to the power of God. So, whatever you are doing now, once you have activated your faith, you will get connected to the power of God*. Like a fan connected to a power source, you can only increase or decrease the speed of the manifestation of your results, or switch it off by what you do or say.

There must be a very real transaction in the spirit realm with God’s power to make things real in your life. *Bible faith is always connected to the power of God. Bible faith connects human life to God’s power.* Let me paint a picture in your mind. An electric fan blows air because it is connected to power. When you remove the plug, it stops blowing. However, if you use your fingers to rotate the blades such that it starts blowing for a while, that is like “faking it till you make it”. *If you are faking it till you make it, you won’t ever make it.*

The fan blades you rotate with your hand will soon stop. The key is to connect the fan to a power source and there will be no need to struggle or fake anything. The fan is a device that is built to produce energy and it will keep blowing as long as it is connected to a power source because it is designed to work with electric power.

Natural life is designed to work either naturally or by divine power. You can bring demonic power into it but it will cost you your soul. *What I am dealing with today is how to bring divine power on natural efforts.* When most people talk about faith and the things of God, they assume that they won’t do anything and believe that God is going to do everything for them. Remove and delete such a thought from your mind completely. *God is not going to do things for you on His own without your participation. What God does is to superimpose His power on your natural efforts.*

Note that the above Scripture didn’t say another person but YOU shall make your way prosperous. *You need to tell yourself, “I am responsible for making my way prosperous, not another person.”*

*God expects you to embrace every opportunity He presents you to develop your faith and make your way prosperous. Nobody can accept responsibility for another person’s results in life.* A pastor, parent, or teacher may pray for, guide, and mentor another person. However, no matter how great a guide or mentor is, *if the person doesn’t take the lessons taught and consciously apply them, he will end up a failure.* You can’t accept responsibility for the failure of an adult. *Everybody is responsible for how his life turns out.*

*Meditating on the word of God, keeping it in your mouth, and observing to do it is God’s path to being prosperous.* The God-kind of faith is not “faking it till you make it” although some cultures believe in that. That is why you see somebody goes to borrow clothes to appear rich, thinking that he is going to become rich that way. *No, Bible faith is not faking it till you make it! The reason these cultures define faith like that is because they do not understand what acting in faith entails.*

*TOPIC: YOUR FAITH CAN GROW*

Romans 12:3
_3 … according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith._

*If you are born again, you have the substance of faith in you. It can grow, although you may not be using it or developing it.* Muscles in the body become weak when they are not used over time. Some muscles also turn into fat due to lack of use. Muscles only get stronger over time because they are developed by exercise. *In the same way, your faith can grow, become strong and tough if exercised.*

*Irrespective of your status or role in life, if you are supposed to do something by faith and you don’t do it, you are cheating yourself.* If you transfer the work of faith to your pastor or someone else and such person uses his faith to arrive at an answer, his faith muscle grows while your faith muscle would have lost the opportunity to grow. Sadly, when that strong faith is needed to help your children and it is absent, you would then have become a victim of your carelessness.

When you pray by faith over a situation, for example, the salvation of a soul, you may not achieve an immediate result. The person may not get saved immediately but it would have developed prayer power inside you. Such power will be necessary and required on the day your wife or son needs you to pray for them. So, don’t think you are helping God because you are only helping yourself by taking the instructions in the Bible seriously.

*PRAYER:* Lord, I exercise and grow my faith in You on ordinary days. When those closest to me need my faith in You, I won’t fail them in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*Believers should seek the promise of God’s word with a sense of value and urgency that their lives depend on it.* If you are earning ?150,000 monthly in Nigeria and someone told you that you can earn $150,000 at that same job monthly, which one are you going to take? In the same way, most people don’t come to the Word of God as if their lives depend on it. You will take seriously anything you know your life depends on. It is a choice and choices have consequences.

*One of the consequences of living by the Word is that the people you love the most are going to be the first beneficiaries. The opposite is also true:* the people you love the most will also be the first victims of anything you are careless with especially if it has to do with God. *The first beneficiaries of your prayer life are going to be the people that you love the most.* If you don’t know how to pray and you don’t bother about it, they are going to be the first victims of that carelessness when there is a need to pray.

*Faith is not the only subject in the Bible but it is the most important subject because every other thing that God has for you in the Bible is accessible only by faith.* So, if you don’t know how to walk by faith, you will not get many things that God has for you. *Today, decide to pursue developing faith in the promises of the Word of God.*

_4 …the just shall live by his faith._

*That statement in Habakkuk 2:4b means the just will remain alive by his faith and the quality of his life will be determined by his faith.* So, it’s not enough to remain alive as a believer but you have to also determine the quality of your life by your faith. Both the rich and the poor are alive but they are alive in different degrees. The quality of life that the rich have is better than the quality of the life of the poor.

The wealthy man and the poor man that are married both have marital problems but money can affect a person’s judgment to make some problems seem endurable. For example, a wife may endure domestic abuse because of the benefit of money and refuses to leave her husband because money is involved. She gets occasional slaps but also enjoys vacation trips to Dubai and New York. It’s a different thing if a poor farmer beats his wife; that is double trouble. The rich and the poor are both alive but the quality of life they have is different. *So, faith in God determines the quality of life you have.*

*Faith in God means that God can take care of what money can take care of plus what money cannot take care of in life. You don’t need to have money to have faith in God and God will take care of anything you ask Him for. You must understand how to work your faith in God and He will take care of it.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, I rest my confidence in You. The quality of my life will increase as my faith grows in you in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE PURPOSE OF COMING TO CHURCH*
Proverbs 10:22

*If you get the promise of the Word of God, you can convert it to what you are looking for. If you are sick and in need of healing, the word of God can convert to healing. When you get a Word on blessing, it converts to blessing.* Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he added no sorrow with it.” When you get a word on victory, it converts to victory. When you get a word on life it converts to life.

*You must deliberately seek out the promises of God’s word. The devil knows what is available in church but then he makes us come to church for entertainment. You are to go to church for education, not entertainment. You are to go to church as a student goes to school.* Most Christians are more serious in school than they are in church. That is wrong. Going through a school system has already equipped most people with the structure to become champions in life if the same structure is applied to the Word of God.

For example, if you missed a lecture in school, you would make up for it by getting the lecture notes and reading them. But most people do not apply the same to church service. They don’t get the message when they miss a service and they eventually fail life exams due to ignorance of God’s wisdom supplied during the church service they missed. *Most people are not serious because they are used to natural results but the natural result is as inferior to divine result as the earth is to heaven.*

*PRAYER:* Father, as I come into Your presence, I seek out Your Word to overcome in this world in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE CONVERTIBLE NATURE OF GOD’S WORD (2)*
Daniel 3:25

There was a time when Jesus was not physically on the earth. Until Mary got pregnant and gave birth to baby Jesus, Jesus was just a promise and His reality was in the heavens.

Daniel 3:25 says, _“… I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”_

King Nebuchadnezzar saw Him when they put three people in the furnace of fire. He saw four people and said the picture of the fourth person looked like the Son of God. Nobody could put Jesus into real tangible form until He showed up in the flesh and that is the reality of the Word of God. *Every promise from God is convertible and must be converted to be enjoyed.*

*The Word of God is not given to you as poetry to play around with but to be converted into reality in your life.* Consider this example: if somebody gave you $100, you can’t compare it to N100. Just like $100 is superior to N100, the promises of God are vastly superior to any offer of man. Many people know the worth of $100 but many Christians don’t know the worth of the Scripture they have.

Psalm 119:162 says, _“I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.”_

David treasured God’s Word. He understood the value and the convertible nature of the Word of God. Great spoil is a treasure bigger than money, gold, or silver, but it is stashed somewhere for you to find it. Nobody owns it but whosoever finds it becomes the owner. Imagine a treasure hunt of $15 million and whoever finds it first is the owner! If you are the first to find it, how will you rejoice?

*PRAYER:* Lord, I receive the grace to encounter and recognise Your word as finding great spoils in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: THE CONVERTIBLE NATURE OF GOD’S WORD (1)*
John 1:1-2, 14

The promises of God are the Word of God and they are convertible.

John 1:1-2, 14
_1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God._
_2. The same was in the beginning with God._
_14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…_

*What does it mean for the Word to become flesh? It means the promises in the written word of God should become your physical realities.* For example, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” must be made flesh, where you enjoy a life without wants because the Lord is with you. Christians fail when they do not understand the convertible nature of the Word of God.

Let’s consider the story of an old, uneducated woman, who got a cheque of a certain amount of money but kept it somewhere and said, “You didn’t give me money but just a piece of paper!” She failed to recognise the value of the cheque and how to convert her cheque to physical cash.

If someone gave you a cheque of N1 million and you have a need of N200,000, that means you have N800,000 left after satisfying your need. It means the cheque is bigger than the need you have. If you don’t know what to do to convert the cheque to cash, you will keep suffering. *TOPIC: FAITH IS THE DIVINE EQUALISER*
Hebrews 11:1-3

*Faith is a divine equaliser among humans.* By natural birth, we are not born equal. Some people were born into debt – they came into this world as debtors because their great grandfather owed money, their grandfather owed money, and their father owed money. *Once you are born into this world, you are given the opportunity to begin to work to change your status.* That was why God stepped in, knowing that if He didn’t add something to human beings, some people will oppress others, enslave them or take them for whatever He didn’t plan.

*The only thing that is going to give you equal status with anybody is your faith in God* because God is the only One that will give you the help that will put you on your two feet beside any other person. Your faith in God gives you an equal platform to receive the same privileges that the son of the President of America, the son of the Queen of England, the son of the President of Nigeria, or the son of the richest man in the world has by the wealth of his parents. *Faith in God can put you on an equal platform with them if you work it well. So, with faith, you have no reason to say you are cheated in life if you learn how to work it.*

When I look at poor people that don’t stay with God, I tell them they are the ones that the devil is cheating because faith in God is the divine ladder for every poor man to rise to where wealthy men are keeping them away from. For example, some sicknesses kill poor people. If a rich man has such sicknesses, he will hire an air ambulance to take him overseas. Why does he not believe in God for divine healing? What will he do when they say there is nothing that can be done? *You need to understand what your faith can do for you beyond the limitations of money.*

*PRAYER:* Father, I pray for the grace to do all the work my faith requires of me. Help me to daily fight the good fight of faith in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: TWO WAYS TO KNOW WHAT IS AVAILABLE*
John 16:7-13; Romans 10:17-21

*You must master two basic things: how to live by faith and how to be led by the Holy Spirit.* God gave you a Bible which is His word and then gave you the Holy Spirit. He also gave you anointed men to teach and explain to you, through the Holy Spirit, how to enjoy what He has provided through the Bible and the Holy Spirit. *The Holy Spirit and the Bible will bring what God has provided to your knowledge. Those are the two ways you are going to find out what God has for you and what is available.* So, you will never know what is available for you if you don’t read the Bible and you don’t have the communications of the Holy Spirit.

In John 16:7-13, Jesus told His disciples that He will send another Comforter like Himself Who will guide them into all truth, and the Holy Ghost has come since then. However, in Acts 19, years after the Holy Ghost had come, there was a group of believers in Ephesus that didn’t know the Holy Ghost had come. Nobody had told them, they didn’t have a revelation of it, and there was no written Bible then. Paul got there and asked, “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” They said they had never heard of anything called the Holy Ghost. That does not mean the Holy Ghost was not there but ignorance was keeping them from Him. Howbeit, these believers were able to receive the Holy Ghost after Paul told them about Him.

*The Holy Ghost comes through prophecy, revelation, and other different ways, but you have to read the Bible to get what is available.* The Bible is in different languages, so, if you don’t understand a particular language, you can get another one that you understand. *You are to read the Bible yourself and find out what is there. Know that any provision of the promise of God in the Bible is available for you to receive.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, thank You for the provisions available in the Holy Spirit and the Scriptures for me. I receive the wisdom and power to walk in the provided blessings in Jesus’ name. Amen!

*TOPIC: STEPS FOR YOUR FAITH TO WORK WELL*
Psalm 1:1-3

*If your faith is going to work very well, you need to master and understand these three steps very well:*

1. Hearing the word;
2. Speaking the word; and
3. Doing the word.

*These three steps form the process of faith.* A process is a set of actions that are intentionally carried out to obtain a set result. So, when we talk about a chemical or biological process, we are dealing with actions that produce a result. *The result we are looking for is what God said in His Word. If you are going to have what the Bible says on anything, you must set the process of faith in motion.* For example, there are chemical reactions carried out in Chemistry to obtain a particular result, and every time the process is done the same way, it will yield the same result.

Most people jump to “whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” when they read Psalm 1:1-3. If somebody says, “Whatsoever you do shall prosper” and you say, “Amen”, you are a gambler. *The Church is full of spiritual gamblers who just pick Scriptures without finding out the instructions behind them, and that will not work.* It is not everything you do that will prosper. That Scripture is connected to other Scriptures. *So, you have to find out what it is connected to, obey it, and then you will have the result. For that to happen, you have to hear what the Word of God has said on that issue, then you have to put it in your mouth and do it.*

*PRAYER:* Lord, I pray for an open and right heart that correctly receives and applies Your word in Jesus’ name. Amen!
