For those still wondering, 70 is the correct answer as pointed out by these sharp people already. Because some people will go through the page without paying attention to logic like this bros above, "na 2day I no say olodo plenty 4 dis forum. half of 30=15. 15+10 =25". Oga, abeg just stop! greatbrian: Kingdanitez97: davbravo: chisea: Layooluwa: Xileef: DecoLand: |
Just a couple of hours ago, I was listening to this "One Dance" song and told a friend Drake sounded kinda Wizkid-ish in his delivery, and the entire song had a Nigerian vibe to it. It is easy to believe Seyi Shay but it is also possible Drake brought Wizkid on the track to influence it with the Nigerian flavor. Probably trying to switch his style up because diversity is key in the music industry. Either way, Wizkid must have had a lot of input for the sound to come out that way. |
tpiar:What's with the "God forbid"? Like it's a terrible thing to be overseas. On the topic, the only disadvantage in being overseas is that you MAY experience some form of racism depending on where you go to. But at the end of the day, is racism really different from the tribalism and nepotism practiced in Nigeria? Having said that, I have never really experienced any racial drama but common sense made me state the obvious. As for the advantages, living overseas trumps Nigeria in virtually every way. Especially when you consider this new Nigerian mentality where everybody wants to "hammer" but nobody is ready to put in the required effort. In foreign lands (at least, the places I have been to), you go to work and forget about pushing buttons on your phone because your priority is to dedicate yourself to your job. No matter what you do, you have to take it seriously. My cousin in Abuja (a civil servant who is retired now) used to go to the office whenever she likes and leaves when she feels like it. And I am sure many people are on this thread right now laughing and commenting from their place of work in Nigeria. It is no surprise the Nigerian economy is in shambles. As Jim Rohn once said, "economic disaster begins with a philosophy of doing less and wanting more". And yeah, I almost forgot, most girls here pay their own bills. |

I'm no saint but I've had some terrible exes, and almost all of them are married now. Maybe they will turn out to be good wives, maybe not! My last ex flaunted her ring on facebook a few days ago. I still have her nude photos and know for a fact she was a hoe (which was why we split). I just feel sorry for the guy. Lucky for her, I would never be the bearer of bad news to her fiance as I see him smiling on facebook too like he won the lottery. I hope they find bliss in each other's arms. I don't ever want to be in a situation where I have to wonder which of the invited guests has f**ked my new bride. On a side note, girls should also choose wisely. My guy was getting married and had a girl in another room at the same hotel where his reception was taking place. He couldn't even respect his new bride. Strange world we live in! |
It's a shame the idea of rehearsals is alien to most of our indigenous artistes. Ne-yo had everyone in Durban jumping in July despite being an R&B artiste. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfSxgnJzP-U Some fans see you live on stage only once in their lifetime... You (the musician) have this incredible opportunity to ingrain yourself in their memories forever with a performance to remember, rather you choose to present them with the memories of a lip-synched performance... Little wonder some musical careers die quickly. |
I left Abuja for Lagos on Saturday. The young lady sitting beside me was visibly frightened when we experienced turbulence and the airplane was making some funny noises as we tried to land. She was on the verge of panicking and asked me if I knew what that sound was about... I didn't know jack about the weird sound coming out of the sides of the plane (we were sitting close to one of the emergency exits) so I just told her it was the tyres coming down as we prepared to land. Obviously, she knew that was a load of bollocks and she didn't believe it. I swear this girl was ready to jump out through the emergency exit so I said, "Hey, just relax and tighten your seatbelt because if the plane is going to crash, what will you do? Are you going to rush into the pilot's cabin and take control of the airplane? Is there anything you can do except pray the pilot knows what he is doing?" She thought of this, accepted her fate and then calmed down. My point is, I can imagine how helpless these people must have felt as they plunged to their death. May God continue to keep us all and R.I.P to the dead. |
