Go there earlier. Stay somewhere far a little and scout the place thoroughly. |
Kunleforreal:Went bad I guess. Maybe corrupted. Laptop isn't coming on or charging. That's sha the summary of the problem And my calculated conclusion is the BIOS chip. Where is your contact |
Motherboard for Acer Es1 431 is urgently needed. The bios of the system is bad. Or if you mind a swap. No problem. A Samsung laptop screen is also needed. Clip is on the right side. Contact on WhatsApp if any of the above is readily available. 07030955428 Thanks |

Razak5: udemzyudex:Update coming bit late because I'm being very careful of what I install. I've however installed the graphics driver and it has effected in device manager. After the installation, the system did some scary job with the display. But after a restart, the blinking has stopped. I've noticed this for the last two working time on it. Both times lasted averagely 30 minutes and there was no single blink. System performance has increased too. The last problem now is that the system still sometimes hang after some time of use. It hangs with a scary noise that won't stop until I manually shut down. The system temperature has greatly reduced since the graphics driver installation. So I think that should rule out processor problem.(I guess) And ability to dim the backlight is also back. I'll still however install more drivers for the error ones and observe. Cheers. |
udemzyudex:Okay, so I think all these problem is driver related cos I just noticed that the keyboard too is irregular. And I'm just noticing that. Which I'm sure happened after the complete install. Cos I formatted the hardisk(as external) with command prompt on another system. The graphics driver I got wasn't for the version of the Windows. That was the message during installation. So I'll get all the drivers I can lay my hands on for the system and install them. Hopefully, I'll be off this mess. I'll update you as I continue. Thanks. |
udemzyudex:Okay. This is an update about it. I was able to install some drivers especially one 'serial I/o driver. On installing those drivers, I noticed a considerable increase in the performance. It's averagely working fine. But the blinking is still coming although not causing the freezes again. I noticed just once that when it blinked, the system froze. But that was just once yet. Blinking now doesn't cause freezing again and the system isn't going off by itself again. In the device manager, the driver for the display adapter isn't Intel graphics driver. It's the default Microsoft basic display adapter. I got my hands on an Intel graphics driver. I'll install it and see what happens. And there are other devices like 4 with the yellow sign at the device manager but I don't recognize the devices or how to get the driver. I look forward to get your opinion about what I've done yet. And maybe some other things to do. Thanks for your help thus far. And please, to other people, your opinion is highly welcomed. |
udemzyudex:It doesn't really go off everytime. But the display is what majorly blinks intermittently and will later go off completely retaining the backlight. Then sometimes it might come back and start blinking again after a while. It does so in safe mood too. But doesn't run slow in safe mode. Just the blinking display. This particular issue started after a failed reset(system tripped off) and then a complete install of Windows10. I've not serviced it. How do I go about that please. The blinks starts small by small. Then continuously until the screen goes blank without any display. Just the backlight |
horllamy:I've done that. In fact its another ram that's inside presently |
I have a problem with my system and I hopefully hope to get a solution from the gurus here. System is Acer ES1 series. Picture below. At first I noticed sometimes ago that the system will just sometimes go off by itself. But I thought it's a way system does when it overheats or something blocking fan. Then later I realized that it started getting sometimes slow and video player will start hanging and all. I assumed it's a system/ram overload cos anytime I do a system reset it works fine again. But earlier this week, the problem persisted and became exaggerated when I tried to install Avast. The system crash with error code during the installation. But a future system reset solved it. So since then, system has been too slow and still trips off by itself sometimes. Then later, the screen will start flickering and might even go off or restarts. And sometimes the screen will show some coloured lines as shown in below picture. I did a complete Windows10 install while formatting the hard disk. However, the problem still persist. On using the hard disk on another system, it works flawlessly, so confirmed that it's not a hard disk problem. And its not Ram issue cos I've tried other ram The system came with Windows8 But I've upgraded it to Windows10 a long time ago before all this ish started. So please gurus in the house, what could the solution be. Please I dey beg. Picture of the motherboard also included.
