In other disciplines, jotting might not be necessary. But in science, especially chemistry, how would you assess yourself after reading if you did not jot down some points/questions.?
Let's say you read a topic like radioactivity. These are the questions you need to ask your self after reading:
What is fission,..... Fusion, difference between..., properties of alpha, beta, gamma particles,.... Comparisons between alpha, beta, gamma, etc. The best way to go about it is by jotting.
If you claim to have read and you didn't ask/examine yourself (on what you read) , then you have not studied.
I usually use the study questions at the end of each topic without necessarily writing anything.. I just do it all in my head, except I need to solve... But I'm trying to make a productive revolution in my study pattern for best results, hence my silly question..
Thanks for your answer... I'ld just try to do it.

... bro I feel ur pain sha... but fair enough if u r wot d stuff... opt ft w better school.. where obvious merit is d pedestal fr admission... all state schools r borne out of biase fr their indigenes n den more biase to d ruling vlads of vc... just way hw good u r n build ursef gr d competition ahead... ui n abu
I'm actually thinking about that, but my parents wouldn't want me to school in the North due to insurgency so ABU is out of it. And as for UI, I heard they also use WAEC result to invite applicants for their Post UTME and also as an admission criteria, my WAEC result might not be as good as UI would want. UNIBEN is worst in terms of admission runz.. Where else can I turn?

Hello everyone,
I don't mean to derail this thread, but I just wanna ask my fellow Nigerian students something which might be a little off the topic of discussion on this thread: Do you all jot, I mean take notes while reading/studying? Personally, I don't. And sometimes I feel its just sheer laziness, how does taking notes affect comprehension and retention? Sometimes I just try to do it but it really slows my reading pace.
Your opinions will be highly appreciated.

I missed this... But let me add spices

The production of NADPH is to actually reduce the oxidized glutathione being produced in the RBC, catalyzed by Glutathione reductase. Product of the reaction actually removes H2O2 as radicals produced by the dissociation of H2O2 cannot be removed singly and it is also catalyzed by glutathione peroxidase(selenocysteine active site).
If that doesn't happen as in the deficiency of G6PDH, accumulation of H2O2 in the cell would have an oxidative effect on the cell membrane.
when will I be able to understand all this? Chai!!!
I envy you guys.
RESPECT SIRS.

the person who had 55 got medicine (DE) likewise my friend who got 64(DE), but my friends name was first on the list indicating hierarchy of score. I am a delsu medic (300L).
Okay Sire!! Seems DE is a surer bet, wish I had what it takes to apply via DE, but no probs sha... I'll be a medic soonest..

nothing like aggregate for DE applicants, only their post-DE result is used since they do not write UTME only post-DE. Besides, medicine admission this year via DE is basically MERIT, my frd (yoruba) got highest and was given. It's just about aiming for high scores.
ah no cum understand again oo, u said it's merit and 55 isn't merit..
That aside, are u a DELSU medic? What level, pls?
