I have up to 96k for a phone. I have been considering redmi note 8 pro but the current market price or not the money is an issue especially when redmi note 9 and its pro will soon be released. No doubt redmi note 8 pro is a beast after carefully considering so many video and written reviews.

Two options for me now,
1. To continue using the existing smartphone. Then wait for the release of redmi note 9 pro and compare its specs with its predecessor and its price.

2.To go ahead now to buy the redmi note 8 pro .
But then why should I rush when I have one phone to use till the release of note 9 pro. Additionally, the release of note 9 pro MAY push down the price of redmi note 8 pro.

Thus, help me beg the seller to try your suggestion and then you will know that not everyone on nairaland is stupid and a thief like that one that has been questioning me.

FYI there are apps that let you know the active LTE band in your location so no need for guess work

I don dey use custom miui rom since miui 7 on my rooted Lenovo phone. I got a new redmi note 8 and sold it after a month due to some reasons. So I know about about redmi phones. I have done some fruitful recommendations on redmi 8 to my office mates

Now I am weighing up my options.... May be to wait a little when xioami will start release their latest series like redmi note 9 pro and from there, I will be able to compare prices, specs and performances particularly the heating and the battery

If that is what you can afford and you like it, then go ahead. In some areas, 3g is even better than the slow poke 4g network they claim it exists.

That is the problem with Xiaomi phones. Their latest phones are not preloaded with android 10 even the one that is coming by the end of this month, that is the redmi note 9 won't come with android 10. Their redmi note 8 till this morning has not gotten the android 10 update.

I like their phones basically because of their battery management plan and others. I was thinking of buying redmi note 8 pro but I had to change my mind to hold on till February or March ending in order to see their latest phones specs and prices. Perhaps, after the latest phones release, the price of redmi note 8 pro will drop or it will be better to buy one of their latest phones
