I have a colleague who produces catfish fingerlings. He spends over 1.6 million monthly fueling his generator. That's over 16 million naira a year now. How is this sustainable? He is trying to move to solar now but he'd be spending close to 10 million at a minimum.
Imagine similar power costs across other industries. Millions that should have been used to employ more people gets spent on power due to the inefficiencies brought about by governmental failure.

Crude oil tankers take weeks to arrive at ports of destination. The price that crude was bought, determines how much the resultant fractional units gets sold for. It doesn't matter if price drops when that ship is still in transit and the refinery has to process its contents. The refinery will sell products at the price of the latest import.

If the refinery orders more crude at a lesser price, then prices at the pump will come down. Let's not forget that Dangote still sources his crude from outside. He has to offset that before little gains can start coming in.

I don't know how he managed to do it but Tinubu has successfully governed in reverse. Everything is failing and has failed under him. Not one single developmental index has he improved on and yet he has borrowed more than every other president combined!

3 out of 4 of the deadliest terrorist organisations worldwide are in Nigeria.
The country has the worst police force in the world.

I can go on and on. We can sugar coat and paper over issues all we want but the sad truth is this country is a failed country and there's no hiding from that.
