the centre for distance learning of OAU, for university first
degree seekers, it runs for 9 months and within this
months the students are taught rigorously by lecturers of
the institution.
On what basis are students assessed and their admission
process?
The 9 months are divided into two contacts and for every
contact students are assessed with a test and
examination. At the end of the second contact, final
results are released based on students performance for
the whole programme and favourable cutoffs are set to
determine students that had their desired courses. But a
general pass mark of 60% which if passed by any student
is guaranteed of being admitted.
How is this more secured than the post utme?
Firstly students are taught rigorously by lecturers and are
assessed based on the teachings given.
Secondly, unlike putme that don't admit all students above
200, predegree admits all aspirants that have above the
60%.
How can i be assured that i will be admitted into the pre-
degree programme?
As part of of programs, TrustWit will be organising an
enlightening programme which will include prep classes

As mentioned earlier, this encompasses our programmes for the upcoming pre-degree entrance exams.

Once again, you are to be reminded of the current ongoing sale of forms for the pre-degree programme which costs #15500 inclusive of bank charges at any of these banks : First bank, Skye bank, Zenith bank, UBA, Access bank among others. We will also be assisting in the purchase of forms and registration.

After purchase of forms an entrance exam will be conducted by the CDL, its on this basis that students will be admitted into the programme. As part of our programme to ensure that all students that comes or register through TrustWit OAU gets admitted to the pre-degree programme, we will be organising an enlightening programme which include intensive preparatory classes days before the entrance examination.

Accommodation will be available for those who would like to enrol for the preparatory classes but do not have a place to stay and also for those who will be coming for the examination a day before their exam.

The only reason why it won't be released as aforementioned will be from the school authority withholding the list for reasons best known to them. And if that's the case you will be duly informed. TrustWit

Not at all, your ssce results are only needed during registration screening and that is done after the admission had been given, even after resumption.

So for those of you that don't have your complete papers should try and sort that out before resumption. And there is a whole lot of time for that. TrustWit

I'm unable to check my result. After clicking submit on oau site, the site asked me to download a pdf file "courses.pdf", after i downloaded it the file is not opening. It's corrupted. Is there anyone who is having this issue too?

Jinf, the problem is not from the site neither is it a personalised problem. The fault is from the system or device you are using, try using another system.

How has the results been?

This is to inform us that, for you to be qualified for admission in OAU, you must attain at least a pass mark of 200 in the post UME.

After this can you now proceed to deriving the aggregate which is the addition of both the utme and putme scores and all divided by two, in which you will use to ascertain if you are on merit or not. The cut-off should be released before the end of this week and maybe early next week at most.

Let me first say congrats for being qualified for admission in OAU, now upon knowledge of your chances the cut off hasn't been set yet but last year's cut off was 248(i.e finding the aggregate of both the jamb and putme scores)

But nevertheless follow up ur admission well and pray hard. There seems to be a beam of light at the end of the tunnel.#TrustWit
