INEC chairmanship position should be an electoral office. Including attorney general and all those important institutional heads.

Qualified candidates only should be vetted and approved to run for the posts.

They should run as independent candidates and not affiliated to political parties.

This will help in making these institutions truly independent.

How can they be independent when the president with political interests appointed them, and they of course know their fate depend on how pleased they make the president feel
