To be honest, the standards are high now as the yearly quotas continue to reduce further.

They didn't focus on your acct because the focus was on the source of the money and you planning to reapply without your father's acct doesn't address the issue. In my opinion, the source of the funds inside that your acct still has to be addresses since it's your father's supporting docs you will submit. Hence it's important to still explain those lump sums and attach his acct statement to the new application.
Mind you, some people have paid full tuition, did GIC of 20k and still chop refusal because the source of funds weren't explained with appropriate supporting docs.

Please I need advise on what to do. I submitted my application to IRCC since June 5th, I’m yet to get a feedback. The last mail I got from them is my application summary and confirmation that they received my application. School’s resumption date is September 3rd, just two weeks away, I’m yet to get any feedback from IRCC. Please advise me on what to do. I’m becoming so worried!

I am in the same situation as you guys. I submitted my application on 31st of may and had my biometrics submitted on the 11th of June. Since then i have been sending webforms after webforms after webforms. I've lost count. But still no response from IRCC. My program commences in September and the maximum time given to me to submit my approval is 31 of August. This is really disturbing. What do i do again?

Try write your school for possible deferment of admission. Are you a first time applicant on the IRCC portal?

Hi everyone

I'm askin on behalf of a friend. His visa application was refused today and is all about finances.

His going for a one year program at Fanshawe College, paid $12k out of $19k CAS tuition fee.

He submitted his Father USD and Pounds account with a closing balance of over $40k USD.

Kindly advise the steps on how to apply for GCMS note, so he can do that and reapply.

His program is for January 2025.
