Exactly, I can give u an example d last tough protest in UI was dat of last year, when a group of student call 4 a protest in Zik hall 4 light n water which d SU took up n later affect d whole halls in d school, d protest was so strong dat it eventually led to d close down of d school for one month.
Due to d protest d government n d school management built an inverter n a 24/7 pipe-borne water n ever since den things has return to its normal state in d school.

I swear some people head no correct for dis nairaland their own job for life na to dey come thread and 2 dey compare UI and OAU....... *joor ma lo fi ku wey orun o* like say I no even go OAU last week, d skul dey stink big time, and 4 d naive brain dat said ASUU headquarter is not in UI...... I think u're mentally derailed stop the beefing n accept d true fact.

Because after doing my own research I realize that Prof. Wole Soyinka:

1. Was awarded the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature, the first person in Africa and the diaspora to be so honoured.

2. He took an active role in Nigeria's political history and its struggle for independence from Great Britain.

3. In 1965, he seized the Western Nigeria Broadcasting Service studio and broadcast a demand for the cancellation of the Western Nigeria Regional Elections.

4. In 1967 during the Nigerian Civil War, he was arrested by the federal government of General Yakubu Gowon and put in solitary confinement for two years.

5. Soyinka has strongly criticised many Nigerian military dictators, especially late General Sanni Abacha, as well as other political tyrannies, including the Mugabe regime in Zimbabwe.

6. he was a professor first at Cornell University and then at Emory University in Atlanta, where in 1996 he was appointed Robert W. Woodruff Professorof the Arts.

7. From 1975 to 1999, he was a Professor of Comparative Literature at the Obafemi Awolowo University, then called the University of Ife. With civilian rule restored in 1999, he was made PROFESSOR EMERITUS.

JAMB? UNILAG? When did they create both JAMB and UNILAG? Are u ok? Anyway, Wole Soyinka graduated from the First/Oldest university in Nigeria - University of Ibadan (U.I) and also the University of Leeds at the United Kingdom. And, during his time, JAMB was decades from being created. I think you should ask your president, Jonathan, the same question. Let him tell you the school he went to and what his JAMB score was. Mofo....

See with the way things are going... It seems there is no more hope for the second choice aspirant because one of the HOD in U.I told my Dad yesterday that U.I is going to shortlist all the first choice candidate only and that is why they remove the option for second choice and the fall back course in-case the candidate did not meet up with the first course so that he can go for the second one. I MEANT NO HARM TO THE SECOND CHOICE CANDIDATE #IT IS JUST THE BITTER TRUTH#

Ok here is the fact though I sat for the CBT and was later brought to this forum by Leystra who scored 236 for Psych... I might have been favoured through the marking schemes but I can bet it with you that I will still have a very high score in my post-ume because the key is just WORK AND PRAY simple.

Obafemi Awolowo University is a Great school but I think University of Ibadan is the best, considering the number of professors in the school...
