They had an excellent NHS healthcare system before immigrants flooded in and stretched it beyond its limit. Patients that can afford to pay out of pocket are not affected by this crisis, it's the lower income ones majority of whom are migrants.

The reason why people are throwing trash into drains, water bodies, undeveloped lands, uncompleted buildings or simply by the roadside is because there is no designated trash collection system put in place.

Are you implying citizens of "saner climes" with a proper garbage collection and disposal system are lazy and irresponsible? The recycling policies you keep harping on, who will provide bins to collect the garbage accordingly? The people? Can the bins reach every nook and crany of the country? Let's be honest with ourselves, the only feasible garbage disposal option is disposing in dumpsites.

I don't know about other states but if you visit Lagos state dump sites, you'd see how the trash is being sorted to paper, plastic and metallic wastes which I believe is for recycling purposes. Now the question is, how will the wastes get to the dumpsites? With trucks and wheelbarrows! Any area that doesn't have either option will experience indiscriminate waste disposal.

Trash collection and waste management is the responsibility of the government. What are people supposed to do with their trash if there's no proper trash collection system put in place? They dispose it in undeveloped plots of land! Some burn the trash which is a form of environmental pollution. If the government cannot manage the trash collection, they should involve the private sector as is done in Lagos.

This is Paris France when garbage collectors went on strike just last year shortly before the Olympics. No sane government should make waste disposal the responsibility of the citizens

This is what happens in areas with no proper waste disposal system. Any available unused plot of land becomes waste dumping ground.
It's almost impossible to fish out the actual culprits in such a crowded apartment complex. What the tenants should do is to press the landlord for a convenient waste disposal system. This is why I'm not in support of banning of abokis that collect wastes in wheelbarrows. There are some areas the trucks don't reach but the barrows do, how are the people there supposed to dispose their garbage if the barrows are banned?

His government sacked firefighters that refused to take the COVID vaccine which was more than half of the workforce and they were replaced by unqualified, inexperienced people based on DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) not on merit. The results of all these decisions led to this huge disaster. If he had an ounce of shame, he would have resigned once the fire has been successfully contained.
