The claim that she perpetrated a scam giveaway, and used the supplied details to blackmail and defraud is mendacious to the core.

AcrossTheEarth isn't a charlatan. I was one of the individuals that supplied details in his/her giveaway thread, and, my details weren't used to blackmail or defraud me.

His/her intent to brighten people's day, and to give to people in her own chosen way, is pure to the core.
Buhh she doesn't have to tolerate rubbish, just because she has a pure intent.

I thought that i was the only one who noticed.

There's an old trick used by pedophiles online, that involves getting young girls details through nefarious means such as giveaways and then going to look for them on social media. Then they chat them up online and shower them with crumbs, then ask for their nudes. When they have these nudes, they can now start their criminal activities such as blackmailing the young girls to send them money, selling their nudes on the dark web to other pedophiles or even telling them to meet them at mysterious places where their accomplices kidnap and traffic these girls as sex slaves.

The OP was probably one of these pedos, that's why they opened that fake giveaway thread. I only came there for fun and cruise only for me fall into their trap. I even offered to return their funds but they refused which is proof of their dark and evil intentions.

I hope the mods stay vigilant about the sextortionist parading themselves online as helpers.

Nairaland will not be used as hunting grounds for sextortionist and blackmailers!

Also, Rule 10 states: Don't violate the privacy of any people e.g. by posting their private pics, info, or chats without permission.

BTW, Before the OP opened that giveaway thread.

They used their other moniker to ask how they can keep their sender's details anonymous. Now many have done giveaway on Nairaland with their main bank account. Why did the OP insist on keeping theirs secret?

The probable answer is that in case any young girls go missing and they track it back to Nairaland and CIA or INTERPOL start interviewing giveaway receivers. They wouldn't be able to trace it back to them.

Wow @ Dominique, why did you just delete my giveaway thread? I am not the same person as "1AcrossTheEarth". Someone in the other thread in Family said the person probably created that account out of spite. Some people in the giveaway thread were into betting/gambling and I refused to send money to these folks. Another person I had sent to was asking me to send them more money. Another person who was probably a scammer was asking me to delete their details after I had sent them money and I said I couldn't do that, as I would have to do the same for the other 14 people. Plus, at the time, I had wanted to do another giveaway (and literally said this on the thread) and wanted to check for scammers for the next giveaway (which I obviously won't do). Some people were using different monikers in the thread to ask for money. I sent money to one person twice (and I'm not sure if there were more people who received twice), but I was able to catch one other person who came back with another moniker for me to send them again and I didn't. @1AcrossTheEarth could be any of the above. Heck, they might even be @Baasildvalour who is obviously pained for some reason.

Someone like you has no business being a mod on this site. With incompetent mods like you, it's no wonder the site has gone down in the dumps. At least you should be impartial in your approach but believing a liar and a troll who is pained and spiteful, and deleting my giveaway thread for no reason other than their lies is quite ridiculous.

But she clearly stated the reason she did such is so there'll be evidence in case someone wants to collect extra times when she decides to do another giveaway which I doubt will happen again. I'm sure if you reasoned with her after you sent the money to another she'll have reconsidered. Te lim also quoted people's initials for the same reason too. It's her money so it's her that decides how it would be shared.

I waited for the giveaway to finish before kindly asking the OP. Then the OP started calling me a scammer. I believe that he/she was angry at the fact that some people took advantage of them, by collecting with multiple monikers, so they decided to transfer their rage to everyone including me. The funny thing is that i didn't write any sob story like Abba does I simply said that " I'm not in need but I want it anyways" and the op indulged me.
When the OP said that they regret giving me, I offered to return their giveaway.

The purpose of giving is help other who aren't capable of repaying you such favours and without putting them to ridicule.

It's good to be kind, Infact it's good to be kind to a fault. THERE ARE NO SCAMMERS asking for FAVOURS and posting their account numbers for giveaway online. They just needed the help.

Just because some Dudes comment on other threads in the business section (Betting Thread) it doesn't mean they are scammers.
You can't just call people SCAMMERS and bettors.

The op came to my thread with its Neptunium account to troll me with several insult despite not attacking at any point. Innocently, I have even given my guidance on one of the thread Neptunium created. Yet, on the giveaway thread he/she created, it was about Nairalanders who has never insulted or attacked anyone.

First of all the reason i asked you to delete the detail is not because of privacy, I don't care about that. The reason is that all my betting and vtu accounts are saved with that number. I don't know if you know this, but that means that anyone can guess the passwords through trial and error. Since that I've been forced to double check my accounts more than 5 times a day.

Also I'm not Abba and the balid guy and 1acrossthe amearth monikers.

Thirdly, when I kindly begged to return the giveaway you told me a solid 'NO'. So I assumed that you where some sort of blackmailer since you refused my offer to return the giveaway.

One more thing I've forgotten about our incident until this morning. I've moved on.

I didn't hide nothing. The platform I use and had been using way before opening the giveaway thread is only used by us abroad peeps and protects people's information. It wasn't me hiding anything; that protection is inbuilt.

He kept parading the thread asking me to delete his bank account number, bank name, etc, after he received the money. I asked if he was a scammer or what he was trying to hide for him to be asking me to delete them off. If it walks like a duck...

And him calling me a blackmailer, which was unwarranted, isn't wrong? I don't live in Ng and have no use for anybody's details other than sending them money to help them out. Nobody asked me to do that but I've learned my lesson.
