The university can not guide her to another department especially within the medical sciences after having not performed up to THEIR required standard at basic science, even flunking a remedial opportunity. I know a private university in the South West that doesn't do that. By their policy, it is akin to keeping unworthy students for profit motive. Maybe it's the same at Igbinedion University.

in MED&SURG, most schools usually give students two chances to pass failed courses or be shown the door. The onus usually lies on the student to seek/pursue a change to other courses.

My other mentions on this topic is not worth replying to but I'll make yours an exception. In the public university I attended, if you don't perform up to expectations, you're advised to consider other related courses rather than outrightly withdraw. Before you're asked to withdraw, you would have gotten less than 1.0 GPA in both semesters. The result I saw there is more than 1.0 GPA, she can still do well in another department.

This useless school management just show how stupid they are ... how result is not that bad to warrant withdraw , one of the duties of institutions is to guide and support to discover students going through problems .. i repeat her result is not that bad , they should have recommend another course for her instead of withdraw .... Nigeria education system is nonsens .....

I noticed as well. The result is average for a med&surgery student. What they should have done is guide her to other courses that will bring our her full potential rather than outrightly ask her to withdraw.

Photos like this can be so heartbraking. I know it's not possibke to love another child as much as your own but showing a little compassion shouldn't be so hard naa. How do these women sleep at night?

She revealed while in the house that she got woeful grades in Igbinedion university and she went on to start afresh in Bells university where she got straight As and Bs. What's Igbinedion trying to achieve by publishing this now? If I were Bambam, I'll sue them for whatever they're worth.
