Frankrobbn1:Congrats Sogima!.... Frank kindly share your email so you can help review my new SOP, I was denied for an obvious reason I believe, while I pursue other endeavors, I was advised to reapply. I intend submitting the new application next week, I'v pretty much got little or no time left. |
pemilabelle:@Pemilabelle Please how did you apply for your GCMS note? |
Newman1010:Thanks, you are right. It was more or less an oversight in my own case.

Hello All, I just received a message today after 10 weeks of waiting . . .application denied and the only box ticked was for PURPOSE OF VISIT. I guess my intuition was right, like I mentioned in my post yesterday I was a bit care free with my application and only started frequenting this thread after submission. I applied for a certificate program to study Civil Technician in Assiniboine College, Brandon. I pretty much have every possible documents.. . I presently work in a federal ministry, also an executive in an active private company in the federal capital. I have participated in international conferences and deal negotiations. Sadly, my over 7 years experience is way higher than my proposed program of study. Thanks to everyone here, I have gained so much knowledge and thanks to @PHOCUSJOSH for not letting me waste my money today since I was proposing to go ahead with my medicals despite not receiving information to do so because of my intended trip to the UK. Sincerely, i got tired of waiting. I encourage every new applicant to go to page one on this thread, digest and process every available information, understand the frequent reasons why Visa applications are rejected and do your possible best to address every of this issue. A robust statement of purpose might be all you need to boost your chances of getting a positive response. Thanks guys....I'll request immediately for my GCMS note while I proceed to my plan B. |
We do have quite a similar situation here. I submitted via online route on the 19th of April, did my biometrics on the 23rd, my completed biometrics did reflect in my application status. However, no other update since then. It's been 10 weeks of waiting patiently and tirelessly, it's almost like my whole life is on pause mode. Some 10 days ago, I sent a mail to all the available email addresses I got from this section, I was promptly replied by the Kenya and Lagos offices but apparently, my application is being processed in Lagos. I am keen on getting a decision from them, sadly the duration is messing up my other plans. I already secured an admission into a University in Ireland as plan B. ![]() I have decided to do my medicals UPFRONT tomorrow which I will have sent to them via e-mail....(I do not know how effective this might be). I will be traveling to the UK in 4 days and subsequently Germany for a series of meetings. I will be away from the country for about 3 weeks. Hopefully if my application is approved, I will submit my passport in any of the Countries I am at. So you see, we are in the same situation. harde116:There seem to be a trend of denied approvals for applicants who are self-sponsoring, this can be frightening sometimes because I certainly did overlook a few things while putting out my application but then again, fingers crossed!.. Also, a major thank you to everyone here for the good job, it is amazing how much I have learnt despite having already submitted my application before frequenting this section. I hope I receive a positive news pretty soon. To those denied applicants, it is never the end . . . just take the lessons and improve on your next application or have some other plans. Best wishes! |
