So after all the wait since May 29th for PMB to appoint Ministers into the Executive, it's for us to be given the Amaechis, Ogbehs, etc? This is very insulting to Nigerians! If half of the names were seasoned technocrats, it would have been better, not recycled loots who had held sway since 1999! I was actually looking for strange names in the ministerial list PMB submitted to the Nigerian Senate. Nigerians have seasoned technocrats. It's better to experiment with them, instead of trying old hands that put us where we are today. Pius Adesanmi, a Professor of Literature and African Studies at Carlton University Ottawa Canada wrote that: It's difficult to find ANY Nigerian that has not eaten 'yam' (Yam here implies corruption in all it's spheres). However, Nigeria would manage to look the other way if appointed, selected or elected officials are the few who had eaten a tuber of yam or two...not those adjudged to have eaten an entire hectare of farmland filled with varying species of yam! May God be with us cc:Lalasticlala |

The good old days, their decision to use windows mobile instead of jumping on the android bandwagon cost dem dearly, dey would have given sammy a run for their money;probably the iPhone too |
When faced with the question of which is the best-selling phone, most of you probably think "iPhone". Hehe! Not even close! Although Apple's crown jewel does sell in cosmic quantities, the iPhone 6 having sold 71.5 million sales in about three months, this lucky champ has nothing going on the Nokia 1100. The Nokia 1100 is an entry level basic handset which hit the market in late 2003. It didn't have two front cameras or a curved screen, but it did have a torch light, a pair of no-slip grips, and a dust-proof case. A classic Nokia badass that the then thriving Finns designed for the growing Chinese market and other regions that smelled like money! How did that go for Nokia? Well, in about five years, the 1100 sold some 250 million units, becoming not only the world's best selling phone, but the best selling consumer electronics device in the world, period. In fact, Nokia's one billionth phone sold was a 1100 purchased in Nigeria in 2005. So, what it is that made people in developing countries go crazy about the Nokia 1100? In short, many things! First, the phone was quite affordable at about $100, due to being very unassuming — even by 2003 standards. It did, however, have a built-in flashlight, monophonic ringtones (36 pre-installed, 7 user-made), interchangeable covers (yay!), soft dustproof keys, 50 message capacity (25 inbox, 25 sent items), 50 contact slots, a 400 hours standby time between charges... and perhaps most importantly, it had Snake! That is, Snake II and Space Impact. These games might seem primitive compared to the latest 3D titles, but they made 250 million people happy — beat that! Although the Nokia 1100 was long discontinued by then, in 2009, used units started popping up on sale for obscene amounts of money — as much as $32,000 apiece! Apparently, hacking circles had discovered a way to reprogram certain units (manufactured in Nokia's German plant) the handset to receive messages intended for other numbers, opening up opportunities for fraud! Hopefully, nobody got burned, except those willing to pay thousands of dollars for an obsolete handset that had an exploit. In an interesting note, the Nokia 1100 may or may be not due for an Android-powered reboot! In March this year, a Nokia 1100 with a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT-6582 processor showed up inside GeekBench's database. Such a smartphone cannot appear before 2016, due to Nokia's agreement with Microsoft, but if the Nokia 1100 does get to live another life as an entry-level Android smartphone, we're sure a ton of people will be delighted! source: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Did-you-know-that-the-Nokia-1100-is-the-worlds-best-selling-handset_id74364 |

1 - The Pen Borrowers: They're always in the bank, common pen they won't have. These pple are very dangerous, once u borrow them d pen, u may find it difficult 2 identify dem, At a bank in Nigeria, once someone tells u "may I have ur pen?" Believe me, that may be d last time u will see that pen (except if u're lucky). 2 - The "I dey ur Back" Team: Immediately dey enter d bank, even b4 taking d slip(withdrawal or deposit) all they do is to know the last person and u hear dem saying, I'm at your back. If care is nt taken, about 8 pple can tell u "I dey ur back" then at d end of d day, they cause confusion (na me dey hin back,I don tell am I was here b4 u blah blah) 3 - The No protocol team: This kind of pple don't obey d 1st come, 1st served slogan! They're mouthed in d bank! Immediately they come in, they just walk up 2 d cashier or manager, he asks them to sit down & within 5 minutes they've completed there transactions while u still dey there looking like mumu 4queue.(there is God oooo) 4 - The Bank Door Rejectees: These pple will always av a problem with d bank door, then u see them removing their belts, car keys, mobile phones etc and yet d machine keeps shouting "pls go back" Maybe next time such person will come 2 bank naked! Biko, he go allow u in... LOLZ! 5 - The slip wasters: These kind of pple can waste slip 4 Nigeria! To fill the withdrawal slip or deposit slip na JAMB questions, u c dem canceling, tearing, squeezing & taking another one. To write common 3,780 Naira in wordsna gobe! Even d so called undergraduates are found wanting in this scenario.......CHAI!!! 6 - The pple from Another Planet: These pple usually behave like them no dey dis world since 2 yrs! They will always b asking 4 today's date, even after telling them d correct date, they will ask some1 else again. I tire 4 dis pple oooooo. Be sincere, I know you are laughing or even smiling now,oya tell us which one do u belong source: https://m./675050809251232?view=permalink&id=900566043366373&refid=8&_ft_=qid.6197731206989733507%3Amf_story_key.-2576818561931565742%3AeligibleForSeeFirstBumping.&__tn__=%2As cc:lalasticlala |
