Do you know it was a Republican administration that made the Visa lottery that thousands of non-white immigrants benefitted from? The aim of the lottery is to have a diverse immigrant population so any country that has more than 50k immigrants will not be eligible and this made many White European countries ineligible and increased the number of non white immigrants. This was a Republican regime policy. No matter the part of Nigeria you are, You will know someone who has won the US visa lottery and settled in America. Tell me any Democrat policy that has allowed that many non white people into America.

These visa lotteries take anyone from Professor to cleaner. You know Canada, Australia etc for instance that we all love to use as an example only take the highly educated immigrants?
We both know that today's republican party has now gone full blown white supremacy. The party has been hijacked by the extreme faction. What Regan did for immigrants can't happen again today under a republican.

I want you guy's to see this intriguing article I came across.

I felt a bit confused reading this, because i don't know if this guy was minimizing racism or protesting anti-racism "extremism".

See for yourselves.
A Twitter User took to the public site to share how the present toxic conversation around race has affected his family and almost tearing his family apart. Read Next.

Woke anti-racism is child abuse.
My family is living the antithesis of @thomaschattwill‘s Self Portrait in Black and White. And I fear it may damage my children irrevocably. Let me explain:

I’m white, my wife’s black. When we met, we “saw each other’s race,” but we didn’t think that was the most interesting thing about us. We foolishly thought our children would be part of a post-racial future, in which all Americans could just be human beings to one another.
Then came Trump. I decided I should try to learn more about my fellow citizens, who I now realized were completely opaque to me. In contrast, my wife decided she was at war with an immutably white supremacist America.

My wife began to read authors like Nikole Hannah Jones and Michael Harriot. She had a “racial awakening,” concluding that she’d been “inauthentically black” all her life. My wife came to think that her mind—trained in exclusive private schools and in two Ivy League institutions for a BA and a PhD—had been “colonized.” She’s come to think she owes her success to being “the right kind” of black woman an inauthentic and “white-acting” black woman who is “non-threatening” to “white spaces.” Most disturbing, she’s reinterpreted her 5 decades of life—in which she only ever had one very mild story of a microaggression—as a history of brutal, grinding racial oppression.
Deep beneath her inauthentic “white” acculturation is an oppressed black woman, struggling for freedom. This is what racial grievance entrepreneurs like NHJ have done to my wife’s mind. What she’s doing, in turn, to the minds of our small children makes my blood run cold.

My wife is teaching our children that America hates them and wants to kill them because they’re black. Rather than take the birth of our children—ambiguous, innocent, raceless little creatures—as an opportunity to rethink the oppressive American race ideology and not hand it down to a new generation, my wife got “woke” after Trump and doubled down on anti-racist racial essentialism. Here are three hair-raising stories.

First story: she regularly explains to our kids that the police want to kill black people. Blacks are people police like to kill and always have been. They will keep using the pretext that they get “scared” when unarmed black people reach into cars, like Jacob Blake, or steal police tasers, like Rayshard Brooks, as long as using that pretext allows them to keep killing black people with impunity. That’s what she told our children, who by plantation logic, are among the black population that the police go out hoping to kill every day.

Second story: she told our kids that Kyle Rittenhouse, like so many whites, hates black people, and wants to kill black people, so he went to a BLM protest and opened fire. When I asked, in a neutral way, why she thought Rittenhouse had shot those people, she became upset and stormed out of the house, not to return for 3 hours. The “obvious” answer is that Rittenhouse is a white supremacist (I don’t think she even knows that he shot only white people). Any probing beyond this self-evident axiom is too triggering to indulge. (BTW I have no defense of Rittenhouse, a confused, stupid kid, whose foolishness and apparent criminal behavior led to his needless killing of two people.)

Third story: We drove by a poster that said “Ahmaud” with a pic of Arbery. Daughter: “Who’s that?” Wife: “That’s a black man who was killed.” My 7-yr-old daughter, now trained to think white people hate and want to kill black people like her, went straight to the inference “Oh, so they killed him because they hate black people?”

My daughter needed no further information to infer that a black man who had been killed was killed because “they hate black people.”
This is bad enough, but what’s worse is that my wife is training her to see herself as one of these universally hated black people, whom everyone wants to kill. Let the implications of that for my girl’s soul, for the ease with which she will encounter her world, sink in.
My wife wants her to “inherit the wound,” as I’ve heard @thomaschattwill say, when she should inherit nothing but joy, love, and a sense of her own endless potential in a world that will reward her for her beauty and brilliance, not punish her for “hatred” of her blackness. Why does my wife want our kids to “inherit the wound”? I suspect it’s because, due to her parents’ successes, who fought the Civil Rights battles of the ‘60s and became a surgeon & a teacher, she never inherited the wound herself, and has come to feel “inauthentically black.”

After all, NHJ and Coates are always telling her how traumatized she should be just because she’s black in America. So, she has come to believe that only when she viscerally feels the wound that all black people are supposed to feel, will she herself be “authentic.”
My wife’s father told me he’s glad his daughter, and Obama too, come from the post-Civil Rights generation, because they did not acquire his “black rage.” This is why Obama could be elected, he said, and why race was never important to his daughter, my wife …till now.
Newly desiring to feel the wound, but not able to authentically experience it due to a life of untroubled privilege, she’s living vicariously through her kids, trying to inflict the wound upon them. Maybe if she can’t be an authentically wounded black person, they can?

Like a father who pushes his son into sports in which he could not excel himself, she’s pushing her children into a racial grievance that she has read about in books and in the NYTimes but has never had a chance to experience for herself. The only viable alternative to this child abuse that I’ve seen is in the writing of @thomaschattwill. The alternative my 80-year-old father-in-law offered is as bad as my wife’s plan. He said he’s happy his grandkids will identify as white, so they will never have to feel the sense of inherent worthlessness compared to whites that he felt coming of age in the Jim Crow south. His revelation of his own wound saddened me immeasurably. This proud surgeon’s scars bears witness to the country America used to be.

But my father-in-law’s solution—a binary solution, and the only one this black man from another era could come up with—is as bad as my wife’s. I don’t want my children to identify as white any more than as black. I want them to be deeply aware of the complex and difficult, but also often beautiful, histories behind their parental lineages. But I pray they identify into neither blackness nor whiteness, for each of these legacies is heavy, the one with pain and the other with guilt.
I want them to be the generation that at last transcends the limiting and soul-destroying American “skin game.” I want them not to identify but to empathize deeply with all the complexities of their heritage, without being limited by the trauma and shame it would impose. To me, that’s how we can, at last, become simply fellow citizens, simply fellow humans, to one another.

So, I’m in this for the long game, a game in which my wife, with her racial-essentialism agenda, has as yet no real idea that she has an opponent. I’m committed to mitigating the effects of what I see as her child abuse where I can, until our kids are old enough to read for themselves @thomaschattwill, @cvaldary, and other thoughtful writers who come from a place

You guy's need to read this article.

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/03/14/january-6-capitol-riot-donald-trump-joe-biden-racism-475740

Many at times, it's difficult to capture the mindset of black evangelicals in rural southern america. I think this article let's us see the world through their eyes. Many of these people want to call themselves independents, because they try to minimize the racism around them while being prejudiced towards LGBT and abortion.
I urge you guys to read the article, it's quite informative.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by donjazet(m):
Very good arguments from both sides.
Refreshing to see two people make their points with absolute courtesy and lack of belligerence.
I do side with the coronavirus guy though. The immigration system is broken and the rate of illegal migrants coming in is truly dangerous.

Biden has to find a way to fix it. No country will like to see itself being overrun heavily by impoverished foreigners. Of course, most countries wish to attract the best of other countries, the best expatriates, the best students, the best tourists, Business men etc. And for people who fall into these categories, it is usually very easy emigrating LEGALLY into any country of your choice. But with illegal immigration, you end up bringing far more impoverished people who seek for solace, but unfortunately a significant part of them go into criminal activities in a desperate bid to survive.

My problem with the Trump administration was that it was hostile to any form of immigration, be it legal or not. The republican administration is staunchly opposed to the idea of non-white foreigners coming to america. Banning most countries and making their immigration laws extremely stringent. Even student Visas were revoked and prohibited.

I love the fact that biden has eased the immigration laws again but he has to take border security very serious. He has to take deportations seriously while also investing money in those countries to alleviate their economic problems.

We really lack a creative midfielder. Someone that has foresight and can give defense splitting penetrative passes.
We are not creating any chances at all from the middle of the pitch, coupled with the fact that our central midfielders can't take accurate shots. This has been a recurrent problem for us this season. We need a lampard-esque midfielder.

even when chelsea was winning 3 months ago, chelsea kept 7 clean sheet out of 20 Premier league games with less than 50% winning rate.. so the clean sheet is actually less than 7 if we add goalless draw. . .

Lampard is also the only coach in chelsea history to have that kind winning rate (50%ish). so no matter how much you want to look at it tuchel is an upgrade to lampard and people have the right to celebrate it. If you can mourn chelsea loss then you have the right to celebrate the wins too.

You can't be sad when chelsea wins all in the name of what could happen in the future.

is TT the messiah? definitely not .. but under him we have won by a goal 5 separate time , i don't think we would have escaped with a goal under lampard cos of how the defense is always set up.

if you are performing well as a coach you deserve to be praised, if you are doing badly you deserve to be castigated .People already calling for klopp head despite winning champions league and PL.

you can't spend 200m$ and not start giving result instantly !
Listen, I'm just pointing out that predictable reactionary pattern our fans exhibit.
It is very normal in football to see an improvement In performances and results the minute a new Coach comes in. Many times, this is not down to tactical nuances effected by the new coach but more of a mental and psychological motivation of the team.
I'm of the opinion that our form right now doesn't necessarily reflect on tuchels managerial ability. That's not to say he isn't trying though. Let's just give him more time before assessing his tactical nous.

Rest, you don't own Chelsea. They will keep firing and hiring coaches to attain success. Barcelona is one of the greatest clubs in the world, they do the same thing. PSG keeps firing coaches because they need to win the UCL. Even Arsenal and Yoonited that stuck with coaches for year's have started firing too. This is how football works. They have not fired Pep yet because he finds a way to take his team out of a rough patch, if Tuchel does the same, they will keep him. So rest.

Don't tell us we shouldn't celebrate this good work he's doing because you except him to fail soon. When was the last time you saw a resilient Chelsea side? When was the last time we approached tough opponents with confidence? Abeg Tuchel is doing better than a lot of coaches we have hired in recent times.
If my memory serves me right, THREE MONTHS AGO. Just 3 months ago, we had gone on an unbeaten streak while playing fantastic football at that. I remember playing soo perfectly in the champions league and people hinting us as favorites for both titles. We were keeping clean sheets and scoring goals.
You are the typical example of a reactionary fan.
So quick to praise, so quick to condemn. Calm the fuck_ down.

playing well and losing games is different from playing badly and losing games

Under mourinho we never played well, we were just clinical with our opportunities that is why in europe they will always beat us

Under conte we were rigid, sometimes we would park the bus self, he was also exposed in europe

Under sarri, we had a gameplan but he didn't have the personel and he wasn't open to adjustments, I enjoyed sarri ball, I rate him till today

Under tuchel, we are getting sarri ball + conte's discipline, he is very flexible and unpredictable

When he arrived he said he will make chelsea a team, other teams hate playing against and he wasn't joking, do you fear atletico like you did december?

Abeg give the guy his respect, other coaches will struggle to beat top teams, he dominates them, I hope the board removes their hand from his activities and allow him handle the team
The bolded is the crux of my argument.
How on earth is one month enough to accurately assess a new manager?? You are lying to yourself if you think you now know tuchel. He is still a relatively unknown person.
I'm appealing for a further period of observation before forming an opinion. It is far too early to rain down those platitudes. You are only setting him up for a fall.

All these people talking about honeymoon period

No coach in the history of football has achieved tuchel's feat at chelsea

We kept clean sheet and dominated major teams

Silva can't even get into the team again, the guy has fixed out team, we will experience difficulty but even when a team beats us, they will know that they were lucky

That's the main thing, once he fixes our attack and goals start flowing in easily, you will understand the kind of manager we now have
BikeMan:
Donjazet is here again with his hopes that Chelsea team will soon fall, I never see this kind fan before cheesy

Baba even said this team can go on a winning run without a coach, so Tuchel is not doing anything special. WFT! cheesy

We have not conceded any goal at home, we have won Spurs, Liverpool and Atletico keeping clean sheets but this team would have done that anyways, na why everybody dey knack us before we sacked Lampard grin
It seems to me like both of you Just started supporting chelsea recently, because if you have, you will know that in the last 4 out of 5 seasons, chelsea have had long spells of unbeaten runs including having even better results against the big sides too in that run.
Beating athletico, man City, spurs and Co is nothing new for us and we have done that while playing very well.

Whatever joy and esteemed pleasure you are having now is nothing we haven't experienced before. The problem Chelsea have always had is how we respond to adversity. We panic once we have a bad spell and we immediately forget the fantastic spell we just experienced under the manager. This is why i now make it my mission to tamper our excitement once we start having these good runs,so that i could condition people's mind to still expect that inevitable dip in form.
I am a fan of managerial stability. I do wish Soo badly that chelsea will envision a long term strategy and be patient enough to see it through, not this scattergun approach we have, but that is impossible with the kind of reactionary fan base we have. One which is over excited when we are winning and over panicked when the form drops.

My friend, don't be mischievous this night. You guy's always always do this. Once the new manager starts over performing, you guys start over hyping and the minute we hit the inevitable rough patch, you become reactionary and the first to call for his head. Looking at the comments here, one would think tuchel is a magician who has magically transformed the team overnight, even though the team performed very similarly earlier in the season.

I hate seeing us repeat this dramatic cycle every year. When we do hit that rough patch, you will still see the same people now over hyping tuchel calling for his head. At this stage we must calm down and continue observing him not calling him a "gem". Not right now.

it's boring at this point

Too many chean sheets and he doesn't even have a world class goal keeper
Please i beg you guys to stop with this hype.
Tuchel did not just come around and wave a magic wand and automatically solve our problems. Mind you we still have a goal scoring problem.
This team is still in that phase where all players rise above their skillset in order to impress the new manager. Tuchel himself is still studying the team, chopping and changing systems and personnel to see the right fit and very fortunately for us, we are getting the right results. I remember sarri and lampard also having very similar experiences and people hyping them up and setting expectations.

Tuchel looks very promising but our run of form is not only down to him. Our squad is capable of going on a winning run even without a manager.
The last thing we need to do now is to start over hyping tuchel. We can only truly assess him at the end of the season.

Tuchel is definitely a gem!
Too early for this. The guy has had a very promising start. As with our last 5 managers. Let us continue to enjoy this honeymoon while it lasts but we shouldn't get carried away by these results and forget that we will eventually encounter a bad run of form too. Just keep observing.
