Unlimited22: That FA cup semi was the day I confirmed that Tuchel is indeed not just a good manager, but an astute tactician.
It takes a lot to outplay City and win the game without parking the bus. A whole total absolute entire lot. I tell you. His tactics was spot on. |

The first casualty for UEFA. A powerful Australian media firm withdraws it's renewal bid for the champions league due to "uncertainty". UEFA is fighting a losing battle.

DissTroy: My being a Barça fan was and is still irrelevant to the argument which was about Arsenal's performances/football might as a Super League participant hence I felt no need to mention my club allegiance or ask of his for that matter.
Mentioning Chelsea (even when my earlier comments indirectly stated Chelsea are an elite club) when he ran out off points was a defense mechanism to instigate rivalry and force the hitherto 'neutral' readers to align with him as his 'home turf'. That was the point you felt the need to defend him (one of yours) 'cause he made it look like an attack on Chelsea by an outsider.
Anybody discerning enough would quickly note the underlying reason he mentioned "I'm a Chelsea fan" out of the blues. Disstroy, must you cause trouble any thread you enter?? You too like wahala. From ashewo thread, to american politics section, now here. You just newly entered this thread, and now now now, you've started causing wahala. Please pipe the fuck_ down. |

Ibime: Since this is our last season in UCL, we have to win it.
Money or no money, I don't like the idea of European Super League. League wey go be like Yankee sports, no promotion, no relegation. No top 4 to aim for because you are already in the European elite competition. So if you are not in contention to win the league, the season will be dry as fück. I guess they'll have to introduce Playoffs to liven up the season. This is bolløcks. I understand the allure of the new super league. The money is quadruple what they currently get from the champions league. We get to play the biggest Giants more often and we are guaranteed a permanent place there. It makes sense. Change is constant. Mind you, they will leave 5 spots open for the best performing outsiders in the top leagues. So teams like leicester still have a chance. These top clubs are truly the reason there is large wealth in football. They do deserve more money. I trust our club on this one. After all, we will still be playing the league and fa cup. This is just like a new, richer and better champions league. |

Ibime: What pressure? We are two goals up. The more the match is tight, the better for us and more pressure on Porto. Its a very risky strategy. If they score us first, the match becomes a different ball game. We have to enforce ourselves more in this game. |

patrickmuf: Donjazet, the cop involved in that incident with the Army Lieutenant has been fired... Good, I guess. He was unprofessional in his conduct, but this also doesn't absolve the black veteran from his own misgivings. There are better ways to respond to the police. Compliance should always be key. My other key point about this is that, this is not a racism issue. The offended could easily have also been white and the officer black. It happens. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by donjazet(m): 12:32pm On Apr 12, 2021 |
patrickmuf: Their hands were on the trigger...You ask him to raise his hands and at the same time you want him to get out of the car. Imagine if he reached out for his seat belt, he'd have been shot...
Towards the end, when he was about to remove the seat belt, he had to tell the cop because he knows too well that he could be shot for just trying and the cop would have defended themselves saying they thought he reached out for a weapon...
Seeing he was military, they should have been less confrontational...One of the officers was trying to de-escalate the situation but the other was having none of it... The bolded I guess is the crux of the issue. Any body who has this mindset towards the police will end up escalating issues beyond necessary when confronted by the police. The guy first refused to stop when hailed by the police which led to him calling for backup. If he had complied initially, the issue will most likely not escalate but because of his predisposed mindset towards the police force in general, he hesitated. He bears the bulk of the blame for the escalation. And mind you, this is not an issue of race. |
