I agree Colossus ROM is the best kitkat rom for the Phantom A+, it has no bugs and everything works perfectly.

All i know is that am nolonger envious of flagship phones. The only upgrade am waiting for is the Kitkat Custom Rom ported by our very own Seun Payne.

Tecno F7 A+ has hardware that supports USB otg, but the phone's settings have otg disabled. To enable USB otg on the phone first root it. Then download an app called 'Usb host check' from playstore. The app can perform a simple fix that enables otg support on the F7. It worked for me.

From those settings it seems the phone supports USB storage. Unfortunately it seems no phantom user has ever tried a USB otg cable on the phone.

Is it true the phantom A+ has two layers of screen protectors? I want to remove the one with phone features written on it.

Install this then the easiest
1. Install PowerAMP.2.0.4-buil.apk (Don't run!)(Clear Data)
2. Install PowerAMPunlocker.apk (Don't run!)
3. Install PowerAmpPatcher.1.4.by.ChelpuS.apk (Run and
patch!)
4. Run PowerAMP.2.0.4 and wifi enable and get License Key;
5. Run Poweramp.2.0.4 and Check License Status in Options
(places without notification of license = true license)
6. (Dont Clear Data) Install PowerAMP.2.0.5-buil.apk
7. Run Poweramp.2.0.5 and Check License Status in Options
(places without notification of license = true license)
8. Uninstall Patch.

Download this, unzip, you have all the apks needed.

As far as i know, all Font changing apps require a rooted phone. I don't know about transferring apps from other tecno phones to the phantom A+ , but you can forward your question directly to tecno officials through 'tecno mobile facebook account', they always answer my questions.

I made an online enquiry and a tecno official told me that the phantom A+ has 'armor plate glass' screen which is supposed to be tough. However, like any phone it must be handled with care to avoid mishaps.

Bricking happens to phones either when mistakes are made during the rooting process or when certain apps (e.g chainfire 3d and Font installer) are installed on a rooted phone. Since you dread bricking your phone, just don't root it, it's that simple.

Hey, open your eyes! Am not the person who posted the first benchmark screenshot. My screenshot actually proves phantom A+ is quadcore. If you've read my posts, you should know i am a tecno fan.

There is a good chance tecno phantom A plus has MT6589M chipset which is a cheaper quadcore chipset. The chipset supports specifications very similar to those of the Phantom A plus.
