probably you are one is why you are on the defensive. But firstly, it's a general believe by people and they have their reasons too. secondly, when I was serving I know one too and her colleagues who did little to correct the believe by their numerous escapades and them not seeing any big deal in it anyway

When I was young I always wish my wife will be a medical doctor because of my encounter with a very beautiful doctor. My mum took me to a clinic, a police clinic because I fell down in school playing football and had pain in my middle chest. We met a very beautiful young lady doctor and when it was my turn I entered with my mum, then she asked what was wrong? So I told her I fell in school and I think I fractured my sternum. she was shocked how I know what a sternum is. she then asked which class I was? I told her JSS 3 and she told my mum that she should make sure I study medicine. lol I ended up studying Engineering but that incident stuck. I know for one reason or the other I don't wish to ever marry a nurse(promiscuous) , doctor(just don't like them again), banker(long working hours), Engineers(most female engineers are ugly lol). Top in my rankings are Teachers /lecturers(most have enough time & quite intelligent), Lawyers(just like the way they dress), accountants(for no obvious reason), etc. For the singles tell us what your wish is and the married please tell what your wish was and what you ended up with. lol

That assertion is true and false. Have seen ladies who stood by men in difficult times but become disrespectful a bit and may also have skeleton in their cupboard(seeing other men secretly). The man may turn a blind eye because of his plight but if he stabilizes all comes to mind and the girl gets the boot. so it's complicated o!
