AKISIEC Releases List of Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates in Ukanafun

As Local Government Election draws nearer in Akwa Ibom State, Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) has released Comprehensive list of eligible Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates in eight political parties in the forth coming Local Government Poll in Ukanafun.

According to the information posted recently at the commission's notice board, the eight political parties that presented their candidates are ; All Progressive Congress (APC), Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) ,Hope Democratic Party (HOPE), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ,Nigeria Elements Progressive Party (NEPP) ,Peoples Progressive Party (PPP),Social Democratic Party (SDP) , and Unity Party of Nigeria ( UPN).

According to the release, All Progressive Party (APC ) presented Udo ,James Ebetor as their chairmanship candidate ,Ubokudom, I.Udoworen as Vice Chairman, Otobong E. Jeremiah as Councillorship candidate for ward one, Idongesit Okon James for ward two, Charlie K. Sunday for ward three , Nseobong I. Udofia for ward four , Isaiah Etuk Titus for ward five , Edidiong I. Moses for ward six ,Aniefiok B.Nyon for ward seven,Utip Monday Mark for ward eight, Idiong I. Ebong for ward nine, Stanley S. Peter for ward ten and Saturday Job U. for ward eleven.

Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) presented Akanimo Bassey as their chairmanship candidate, Grace Silas as Vice chairman, Imo Bassey Edet as councillorship candidate for ward one , Iboro Ime Tom for ward two, Ufot Jimmy Udo for ward three , Ubong S. Usen for ward four , Usen Amos Akpan for ward five , Daniel E. Mark for ward six, Edidiong Ernest for ward seven ,Bassey Okon D. for ward eight , Imoh Eden Akpan for ward nine , Edet Eyo Edet ward ten , and Bassey George for ward eleven .

Hope Democratic Party (HOPE) presented Matthew Sunday Udo as their chairmanship candidate , Mrs. Glory Ezekiel Ikpa as vice chairman, Moses Gabriel Akpan as councillorship candidate for ward one , Inyang Eyo Uko for ward two, Sunday Okon Ibe for ward three, Mathias Silas Eyo for ward four , Uko Uko Ekpo for ward five , Ita Effiong Charles for ward six , Utibe Christopher Udo for ward seven , Eyen Udo Uko for ward eight , Mercy Etim Effiong for ward nine , N. Ikpa for ward ten ,and Titus Ita for ward eleven .

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has Hon. Uko Okon Idiong as their Chairmanship candidate ,Hon. Umakiso Victor Umoh as Vice Chairman , Nsikanabasi Alfred Idem as councillorship candidate for ward one , Jim Isaiah Okure for ward two , Precious Ekpedeme Otong for ward three , Inemesit Frank Akpan for ward four , Emmanuel Eventus Koka for ward five , Abasiofon , Moses for ward six , Ofonime Dominic Samuel for ward seven , Uwem Sunday John for ward eight , Etangsema Johnson Akpan for ward nine , Udeme Thompson Udofia for ward ten ,and Ufokobong Ubokudom Owen for ward eleven .

Nigeria Elements Progressive Party (NEPP) presented Utitofon Udom as their chairmanship candidate ,Esther F.Nsikak ,and Ukpono Nyong as their councillorship candidates .

Peoples Progressive Party ( PPP) presented Barr. Udeme Thompson Ebong has their chairmanship candidate .

Social Democratic Party (SDP) presented Abel Jonah John as their chairmanship candidate , Anietie F. Johnson, Saviour A. Clement, Justina S. Akpan , Solomon Okon Daniel , Sifon Okon Peter , Simeon M. Elijah , Benjamin E. Nelson , Unwana J. Umoh , James Udo Micheal , Uduak B. , and Sunday James Udoh as their councillorship candidates .

Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) presented Hon. Akan O. as their chairmanship candidate , Ada Sunday, Efremfon S. Ukpong , Mfon Sunday Akpan , Imekan E. Joseph , Okon Dan Akpan , Friday Peter Udo , Imo Sunday , and Effiong Dick Udo as their councillorship candidates.

All roads leads to Ikot urom in Adat Ifang clan agog as the entire people of ward10 in Ukanafun Local Government Area will by 9am today receive their very own Hon SSP Stanley who was screened and nominated yesterday 15th September 2017 as ward10 councillorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress APC to contest the forthcoming council elections.

Unanimous revealed that he is rooted, outspoken, vibrant, credible and loved by youths. In fact he has no contender when it comes to a test of popularity.

Hon SSP Stanley who is the current public relations officer of Akwa ibom community Baylesa State is the only councillorship aspirant whose name has been on the lips of every single soul in ward 10, Ukanafun and Akwa ibom at large.

UKANAFUN CITIZENS CRIED FOR NON DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREA.

Which project have we benefitted from Governor Udom administration over two (2) years now but we are here praising him(cantor) what about the incomplete general hospital project, Oil depot lot more.

Which of the single major road do we have in Ukanafun local government Area and over 10years now no electricity power supply especially around local government council to Ikot Udo obobo and others villages complaining of electricity transformer are we not paying tax as well to the government, over years now most of our children's, siblings grow up without seeing Electricity supply (NEPA)believed that there is no source of light exception of generator/engine.

We are deceived by political parties and bow to to the tune of irrespective parties when our citizens are hurt,extort and killed everyday what's the revolution of the government sequel to the mess was governor Udom visited Ukanafun for 2019 gubernatorial election.

Several roads project have been done in others local government Area in the state has the cape -out ukanafun local government Area from Akwa Ibom State?

Why didn't we praise Obong Asuquo Akpan idem of Ikot Akpa Nkuk the exemplary legend When he was alive because that the only leader that made a project in the area beneficiaries to all (Ikot ukpong, Ikot Akpa afaha, market road Ikot Akpa Nkuk, Ekeffe road, ikot Udo Obobo and others village) cantors of all ranges let's raise(EDAKEDDA JAK IBOD UKANAFUN.

PEACE HAS BEEN RESTORED IN UKANAFUN - BARR IDEH

BARR Israel Ideh, Ukanafun Transition Chairman has said that his administration is doing its best to restore peace and development in Ukanafun.

Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the students of Ukanafun under the auspices of National Association of Ukanafun Students World wide, the council helmsman said the local government has experienced relative peace and gradual reduction in the spate of crime since his assumption as the Chief Security Officer of the area.

The former State Security Officer while calling on the perpetrators of crimes to suit their sword and give development a chance, however commended the effort of the state governor in ensuring that peace is restored to the local government.

He commended the governor on his developmental strides in the state especially in Ukanafun through his Swift intervention in the insecurity situation of the area and appointments of well meaning sons and daughters of Ukanafun into meaningful offices in the state.

The council gaffer however promised to partner with the students of the local government for effective wellbeing of the students and the local government, saying that, the students, in any clime, represent the future generations of the land.

He commended the Comrade eyakndue Udoidiong - led world wide body for towing the path of peace, unity and dialogue in pressing home the rights and privileges of the students, and described the body as a reliable partner-in-progress of his administration.

Responding, the world wide leader of the students, Senior Comrade Eyakndue Udoidiong thanked the council boss for his open door policy especially for receiving the body into his honorable office and accepted, on behalf of the body, to partner the council for robust relationship and development of the students.

Comr Udoidiong while acknowledging the contributions of the council to the wellbeing of the students of the area, however appealed for more of such gestures

On the attendance was Transition chairman Barr Israel Ideh, Transition secretary Hon Abraham and Transition committee member Obong Hezekiah Ekanem, Naus worldwide president Comrade Eyakndue Udoidung, Naus worldwide secretary Comrade Unyime Etokabasi Paul, Naus Worldwide Dir of social Comrade Regent Ufere, and others Exco.

Student's unionism are mingles and unity organization not a macro politics which we could follow the steps of the tune

The truth have to be tell despite the bitterness
Irrespective of your campuses I believe National Association of Ukanafun Students Worldwide was purposely for unities among students of various campuses

I came to realize that National Association of Ukanafun Students Worldwide comprises of Universities students, polytechnic students, Monotecnic students, Colleges students and secondary school extraction but we have turned it where hatred's started and sentiment as well

Zoning and revolution of Executive's is the issued where faction cabals are formed which all have interest as political animals but most time our interest supersede the interest of our brothers we are one ukanafun students with love and unity we conquer but we have fought ourselves and forget our aimed which government have took us for granted.

Let's join our hands and strength to make National Association of Ukanafun Students Worldwide more valuable again I congratulate the incumbent president Comrd Eyakndue Udoidung you have done a lot in the forum for bringing the government home, thank you

leadership is not all about which school attend or which clan he/she from but the problems who's willing to served and not after students fund(selfish), capacity and transparency someone who have been in the system of students unionism especially National Association of Ukanafun Students Worldwide.

Who is a leader? Do we think is a someone who bring goat and drinks and yams for consultation and we all eat and rejoiced without reasoning the capacity of the person especially in the activities of Ukanafun Students.

We have stayed over years now no busaries /Scholarship to ukanafun students and do we have role in ukanafun local government politics despite the activism.

Let's give the servant the chance not the boss, I realized that several subchapter of National Association of Ukanafun Students home and diaspora are not order(a grievance) which the attention of NAUS WORLDWIDE was needed to intervene without the actions of the worldwide president and his entourage till today and the fight continued what's the duties of worldwide to the subchapter?

It has come to my noticed by some chapters head that the National Association of Ukanafun Students Worldwide have not supported the welfare of the subchapters or visited the chapters for the grow of the students in the Tertiary institutions and response to Congress.

Two weeks ago I visited few campuses Akwa Ibom State university,University of calabar, Imo state University,Obong University, Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Niger Delta University, Abia State University, college of Education Alvan ikoku to observed and motivate the Congress the function of students unionism and the unity of brotherhood which I realized that citizens of Ukanafun Students stayed away of meetings(NAUS) due to no payment of bursaries and scholarships to the students.

According to their suggestions Naus worldwide Exco should be a one time chapter head or Executives who have experienced the challenges of Ukanafun Students not a stranger which most time we consider because of zoning.

Firstly I must commend your untireless effort in fighting the insecurity challenges in Ukanafun Local Government Area. We the residents and indigenes are proud of your good work and Promise to support in our capacity.

On 4th September, 2017, you came to Ukanafun Local Government Area being represented by your Assistant in command to hear from residents and indigenes of the Area and strategies solution towards the insecurity challenges facing Ukanafun Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State

You deployed extra 69 police men to the Area in addition to the already Force men in the environment to tackle the insecurity challenges of Ukanafun Local Government Area.

It's no longer news that the police men men in Ukanafun to help in the insecurity situation in the Area are adding more SALT to the already INJURED UKANAFUN by NEGLECTING their primary duty in the Area, but rather channel their professionalism in making LIFE UNBEARABLE to residents and indigenes of the Area by HARASSING and EXTORTING from them before they could gain their FREEDOM of MOVEMENT in the environ.

Sir please I'm writing as a victim of this unprofessional act of the Nigerian police force.

I respectfully and humbly call on you to use your office and put to end this unprofessional act of your men in Ukanafun Local Government Area and call them to order.
