i am a person of few words if u notice me very well!!!! N i hate typing,, But here, u can't tell who is knowledgeable about feminism or not, espeacially if u r not a feminist, n more with the fact that feminism has no usual pattern, most feminist don't agree with everything, so if ur not knowledgeable abt it u can hardly understand the persons point of view, for example chiamanda believes a lady while married shouldn't be addressed as mrs!!! Me as a feminist I am not 100% with that, but cause i am knowledgeable abt feminism, i understand her point of view " the fact A man is called mr while married n not married, why does a woman hv to be called to represent her marital status while a man isn't but me i feel we hv so many things to deal with 4 the girl child, Mrs n mr will figure out itself eventually, so many things, so if ur not knowledgeable u can't understand feminism, most of us read alot of books, historical, literal n do research, u can't understand feminism if ur not one, some people will say most of us contradict ourselves!!! But if u read enough as a feminist u understand why it varies!! N always seek 4 better understanding of the other persons view even if u don't agree with it!!! Gosh so exhausting

Ok on a final note. I tried to be thorough in my research on feminism and looked up various sites but couldn't find the word 'MALE BASHING' anywhere. Also, I was amazed to see that not a single online source advocated any kind of inappropriate behaviour towards a particular gender in meeting the true objectives of feminism. So why there is so much of hatred around this particular word?

The answer to this question lies in 'perception'. It is our perception which makes this movement right or wrong.
A pseudo-feminist's or a fake feminist's perception is that demanding of rights at any cost is the core of feminism. The whole idea of feminism for this lot revolves around self-interest. But this should not be the case.

And for the other half of the lot, who is against feminism, every female demanding justice or standing against social injustice, is a pseudo-feminist, which should not be the case either.

I witnessed an incident in Birmingham where a female started fighting with a fellow commuter demanding him to get up and offer seat as it is her right, being a female. These types of incidences make me angry.

I believe in equality, equal opportunities and treating every other person with respect (if he/she deserves it). So when people use the term feminist in a negative sense, it upsets me so much. It makes me feel as if in the debate of 'for' and 'against' feminism, the word itself has lost its true meaning.

In the end, it is my request to each and every one, who is reading this, to be very broad in their perception. To not stereotype or criticize every other being for the actions of few, as there are many out their who are working for the actual cause, who are working to break the stereotypes revolving around feminism. And when you say them, you need to be more specific because the only qualifying term you have used is nairaland /e blah blah.

I am on nairaland and I identify as a feminist. And I know lots of ladies on here who walk the talk. That debunks your claim.

It is not me and you that would discuss that issue but you yourself know.Truth be told the issues that brought the proto feminist to start writing books and advocating feminism has been achieved except in some parts of the middleast.That is why the movement has experienced three waves of it as the demands changes from time to time.In America they want equal pay as well as Spain in the middleast more basic rights for women in AFrica same thing.

Oh dear , Just realised there is not that much difference between amarabae and antibrutus / pocohantas..it is just in a few places which are :

1) Both are mysandrists. It is just that one is married and claim femnism with her heart. She believes in keeping your virginity and not sleeping around

the other tries to deny feminism and prefers jumping from one dick to the another ( as per what a man can do a woman can do better).

2) One is proud to show her picture while the other prefers her ugly self to be anonymous in trolling.
