tsdarkside: france is a threat....always were...they are a very melancholic type of people...go ask the english and germans....they will tell you... France is not a threat to Nigeria. If you guys had allowed Nigeria to function well, the technological innovations of the Biafrans would have industrialized ECOWAS and displaced France |

tsdarkside: think...our goal is to drive france out of africa....all other european nations have left...france is still the only idioot hanging on olden days...
morocco joining ecowas will weaken the influence of france in africa... Although I don't see France as a threat but you have a point here. Morocco's wealth can harden the francophone nations to abandon France. |

DeepSight: There are many benefits. Ecowas is Nigeria's main foreign sandbox in which she plays with both money and power. You would be aware of the huge benefits to Nigeria is you visit other Ecowas capitals. Nigerian Banks and corporations have flooded all their markets and its a huge plus for us.
It would be foolhardy to allow a competitor like Morocco into our personal sphere of influence. Be precise on how they are our competitors list them out |

DeepSight: Nigeria should learn to think strategically. Morocco can displace Nigeria as the most important member of Ecowas, or at least it can rival Nigeria within the block in terms of influence. For that reason alone, Nigeria ought to make every open and surreptitious effort to deny membership to Morocco.
Besides I really hope that Morocco and its Mediterranean neighbor Spain will not attempt to have some sort of privileged membership of Ecowas whereby one will still require a visa to go to Morocco. I am disappointed in Nigerians being scared of little Morocco. Thank God you all now know that Nigeria is the dwarf of Africa. |

cstr1000: Fucck that shitt. You negotiate from your own position of strength. If integration would be bad for your business, then jettison it. Trump is cancelling the NAFTA(North Atlantic free trade) agreement because he claims it does not favour America. We are not smarter than them.
If Nigeria has the infrastructure to out-produce every other African country like china, then integrate the whole thing and flood those african countries with cheap goods. But we are not china. We are not even Morocco. We have the bigger economy, they have the better infrastructure to beat us to the punch. Are you truly a Biafran.? Biafrans fear no competition with Moroccans. Stop being a coward before the Moroccans. Go out there and slug it out with them. |

cstr1000: As opposed to having a major francophone rival whose name is not FRANCE. Nigeria have benefited from ECOWAS. Our businesses are everywhere, and the citizens in those countries have benefited from the FDI. Now imagine adding Morocco to the mix, with cheaper goods due to decent infrastructure, better government, and a more stable system than Nigeria, your guess is as good as mine. That would be a trouble for Nigerian businesses and economy.
And they are oil and gas producing too. So you are scared of little Morocco. Pls don't disappoint me my comrade. The whole of Africa should be integrated economically like EU. What of supplying Morocco cheaper labour.? |
Politics › Re: Reps Discuss Nigeria's Position On Morocco's Plan To Join ECOWAS by DontForceUnity: 2:47pm On Nov 10, 2017 |
BigBelleControl: Morocco joining ECOWAS is a win-lose situation. Morocco is close to Spain and West Africans that engage in illegal migration can have easy access to Morocco due if they have ECOWAS PASS. This will make their run into Europe a bit easier. However, it will lead to trade imbalance as Morocco will flood West African markets with their goods. Moreover, their colonizing of Western Sahara is another dent on them. So you accept that this cesspit called Nigeria is not working. So small Morocco is a threat to big for nothing giant called Nigeria. |

CharleyBright: It is obvious why Morocco a North African country is keen on joining a West African Organizational bloc as ECOWAS. Having been ejected from its regional bloc by its North African neighbours cos of her deviance, Morocco is bent on joining the west African ECOWAS bloc to foster her economic gains. While the Moroccan products have been shut out of the Northern regional markets, it seeks new markets in the West African sub region. It is noteworthy to say that many French West African countries within ECOWAS are canvassing for Moroccan entry into the regional bloc in their bid to check mate the perceive Nigerian Dominance in the regional bloc. If Morocco is eventually admitted into ECOWAS, the biggest loser will be Nigeria. Nigeria must do all it can to block all possibilities of Moroccan entry into ECOWAS. Not making sense. Be precise on how Nigeria will be the biggest losers.? |

Yorubas were the ones fighting against Kanu by suggesting Restructuring to create an impression that Nigeria has hope.
Now that Kanu is out of the way for them, even Sarrki, Madridguy , Vedaxcool, superstar1 etc no longer talk of it.
In conclusion, the Yorubas brought up the issue of Restructuring in order to stop Biafra but failed to realize that the international community is watching them. |
