oga the reasons why ECOWAS was formed was foe every member to benefit AT THE SAME TIME. The reason ECOWAS isnt improving is because ONLY ONE COUNTRY IS BENEFITTING THE MOST FROM IT. And whats the benefit? NIGERIANS ARE FREE TO COLONIZE ALL THE COUNTRIES BUT NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND!

No problem, when can I have a go at your wife?

There are many benefits. Ecowas is Nigeria's main foreign sandbox in which she plays with both money and power. You would be aware of the huge benefits to Nigeria is you visit other Ecowas capitals. Nigerian Banks and corporations have flooded all their markets and its a huge plus for us.

It would be foolhardy to allow a competitor like Morocco into our personal sphere of influence.

Be precise on how they are our competitors

You are either demented or just plain old stupid!
I hope you are at the very least smart enough to wipe your azz.
Morocco is trying to infiltrate West Africa on behalf of Spain and if you think France is bad enough try spain or better yet both France and Spain, because if you think France will let go it's ties with Africa based on the emergnce of Spain and its Arab allies then you are certainly a clown
It is called Economic Community of West African States for a reason, I don't see what is so damn hard to understand here. Educate yourself with the articles below. . . . And I mean it, educate yourself
For goodness sake this treacherous racist country called Morocco only just joined the African union in January this year.

morocco joining ecowas will weaken the influence of france in africa...

Although I don't see France as a threat but you have a point here.

Morocco's wealth can harden the francophone nations to abandon France.

Morocco joining ECOWAS is a win-lose situation. Morocco is close to Spain and West Africans that engage in illegal migration can have easy access to Morocco due if they have ECOWAS PASS. This will make their run into Europe a bit easier.
However, it will lead to trade imbalance as Morocco will flood West African markets with their goods.
Moreover, their colonizing of Western Sahara is another dent on them.

You should understand that Morocco do not control Spain. Do you think Spain will contine to allow the immigrant of people into their country anyhow? Nigeria is the number one loser. Morocco in Ecowas is not an automatic license into Spain.

Just go bow to Arabs and be a humble obedient abdi. Does the UK have influence on Nigeria? Directly or indirectly?
Oh, so now we should complete the Party by throwing Spain and your self imposed arab masters into the mix of already interfering powers.
While at that lets not forget thet Portuguese and Dutch colonialists in Angola, Cape verde, Gabon and South Africa.
Some of you are just neo-slaves or better yet mentally enslaved.

France is not a threat to Nigeria.

If you guys had allowed Nigeria to function well, the technological innovations of the Biafrans would have industrialized ECOWAS and displaced France

Nice comment. The reason why ECOWAS is not progressing is because of the francophone countries. Their financial system is controlled by French central Bank. We need a country like Morocco which will complement Nigeria to drive these french forces away from West African countries. The only problem Nigeria will have with Morroco is the secessionist in the North Africa.

Actually there are concerns by the Nigerian private sector that Morocco is a front for the EU to implement the EPA trade deal that will cripple Nigeria's manufacturing forever.

Where is the infrastructure to compete? Don't you get that.
There is no light to produce at the same cost that a Moroccan company will produce the same goods.

Solution to your fear of Morocco - EU trade agreement affecting ECOWAS is to insist that Morocco cancels her agreements with the European nations before joining ECOWAS.

Do you know that Morocco has high unemployment rate.?

Go check their background before being scared.

Just tell Morocco to cancel her trade agreements with US, Canada and EU states that can flood ECOWAS with European goods.
